I am not sad to see Civale leave the division, feels like Cleveland giving up. But I'd really like the Twins to do... something. Like, "we're a better team than this" is certainly true, but also something needs to change.

Looking at the scouting reports on Manzardo, I can see why the Rays were willing to deal him. Elite contact and OBP skills, but moderate power and only plays first base? Seems pretty fungible unless he turns into Literally Freddie Freeman.

Mariners need bats and expect to continue to turn randos into great bullpen arms. It's a great deal for us. Especially compared to the Mariners only getting Abraham Toro for Kendall Graveman when he was putting up a similarly good season.

AJ Pollock was having an incredibly dreadful year, moving him doesn't mean the M's are selling. More that they finally had someone to take that spot and could move on from him. Wong is probably moved too (hopefully), Rojas/Caballero mix at 2B and Canzone primarily DHing unless they move on from Ty France. Better in 23 as long as you can find someone to fill mid-leverage innings since Topa slots into your high leverage mix of Munoz/Brash.
