I tried to watch and rewatch Big Top Pee Wee so many times as a kid and I just got totally lost in the second half on what the gently caress was going on with the circus show and then all the townspeople turning into kids or something, like what? Pee Wee's Big Adventure was great though. What do you actually call these type of movies where the plot is them going on a long pilgrimage or trip and have weird encounters and events along the way.

Man, I always loved Pee Wee. Even as a kid, though, other kids would try to spoil it for me by telling me that he "pulled his pants down in public." I remember the first time I saw the original stage production of Playhouse. There is that one part where Jambi gets hands in the mail, and says, "Now I can do something I've wanted to do for a long time." My dad told me he wanted to pick his nose, lol. I didn't get the joke until I re-watched it years later.
