Depends on what the final feedback is.

If its 100% good, it was solely thought of and created by Elon and will crow about it.
If its more bad than good, it was solely thought of and created by some random intern who didn't get permission from Elon and who is now fired and will not work anywhere within 10000 miles.

If you lived anywhere near civilization it was never normal to wait 2-3 weeks for something in recent history. Outpost.com pioneered the "anything delivered in 48 hours" bit back in 95 already. Pretty much all e commerce got it to you in under a week

I have to go back another decade yet to the pre Internet days of sending in envelopes to mail order catalogs to hit 3 week deliveries

Unless you're talking about borderline scam tv shopping networks or infomercials

I am from an EU country and while most things get delivered within a week or two I still occasionally deal with month-long deliveries. Do not underestimate the ability of borders and geography to get in the way of shipping.

Yeah, watching your parcel go on a little world tour can be both irritating and funny - one order, which was supposed to come from Germany to Ireland spent a couple of days en route in beautiful Iceland.

Watching my domestic parcel containing stuff I actually need to get quickly arrive in Turku (where I am), get loaded on the Sweden boat, processed in Maarianhamina, loaded on the Sweden boat again, processed in Turku (where I still am), loaded onto a lorry bound for Helsinki, etc. is my favourite pastime on posti.fi.

As a letter with no tracking I bet I would've gotten it in three or four days.

I'm a lovable meme.

Just prior to the pandemic, retailers here had made the jump to next-day delivery of you ordered before 10 or 11pm (small country). That's in many cases already faster than if you drove somewhere after work. Some were stepping over to same-day delivery (order in the morning, get it in the evening). I know from former Chinese colleagues that in big Chinese cities, those kinds of times are expected for many services. Completely crazy imo. Delivery services must be hell, please make it easier for them, not harder.

But even when I lived in Germany twenty years ago, "weeks" wasn't the norm. It was more like three days, maybe a week.

3D Megadoodoo
Nov 25, 2010

If you lived in the city, expecting things you ordered to be delivered the same day was normal for more of the 1900s than it was abnormal. I mean poo poo, the company I work for used to have local delivery van guys up until the 1990s. Of course this was also before JIT so shops actually had things they could deliver.

They're legal unless they're a ponzi scheme, which none of the currently active ones are known Ponzis

It's basically treated as a distribution system and their contracts are absolutely ironclad so there's little wiggle room on it

E: upon further review, pyramid schemes are mostly illegal but "multi level marketing" is legal which, lol, lmao

I haven't seen anything crazy like this here. But I've had parcels arrive from China to the main post office in my city in under a week, and then take 10 days to get through customs, several post offices, and to my house 10km from the hub.

The best I ever saw was an issue of Turun Päivälehti from the previous year that my brother got back in the 1990s. It had postmarks and some other stamps from Turkey on it. So instead of Turku -> Turku it went Turku -> Turkey -> Turku. Wild that the Turkish postal service bothered to send it back, it was a local lovely thin party rag by then. Short of outright fraud they're cool. As long as there's fine print that's technically accurate you can basically do what you want.

Here's an example of how narrow the prohibitions are:
