yes I have known this for decades, from when I would try to stay under water for very long periods of time.

I used to take a small metal table (like an outdoor thing) underwater with me to weigh myself down.

In my adult life I had to get a physical for life insurance and part of it was a lung capacity test and the lady said my lung capacity is "bizarre".
