Wow, I completely forgot about Populous. It pops up in my mind from time to time and I kept thinking maybe I was thinking of Black and White or some Sid Meier game and none of them matched up to my memories. Thank you.

Populous was a game I remember enjoying as a kid, but I realize I never tried to actually play the game and instead spent the whole time killing villagers with miracles and dunking their huts into the ocean.

My parents would only buy me one video game a year on Christmas. When I was 5 they bought me Populous for the Super Nintendo. We had a regular Nintendo. We could not return the game because they bought it during a trip to the US. To this day I hate Populous.

Definitely played a lot of SNES Populous The only downside was the winning strategy was always to build your civilization on a max height plateau then flood the world
