So, they're really just going to call it the "cyber truck"? We're going to have grown adults bragging about their cyber truck? I guess I assumed that was a code name or something...

I mean, trucks don't normally have trunks anyway, you put stuff in the bed, right? I don't see why this is such a dunk.

No user serviceable parts. Return to the dealer for ecologically friendly scrapping and buy a new one with a 10% discount.

I know this is the dunk on Elon thread but come on guys saying a truck has no storage because it has additional front hood storage and a covered truck bed in the back is loving dumb. There are like a thousand legitimate things you can make fun of on this stupid thing.

It's more like people are comparing it to it's direct competition, which one of the marquee features is they took the spot where the engine went and made a huge frunk for storage

A downside of a truck bed is it's exposed to the elements and insecure. Having a bed + a secure storage space for, say, a purse or a laptop bag, is a big win for a lot of people

Excuse me, but it's called hypermiling and you've got to both cut weight by getting rid of the passenger wiper and pay close attention to aerodynamics by only attaching the driver's wiper when it's needed

You can get fully electric wee Hondas here (the UK) that have no wing mirrors, but in-car screens to the left and right that show what a wing mirror would

I think they are absolutely atrocious to use, and quite unnerving, but how is that not a solution they could have used on this truck?

Of course. As proper German engineering, it was over-complicated and not really necessary, but it did what it was supposed to.

koshmar posted:

The hood is flush with the windshield so it has nowhere to hid like on a normal car, and would be constantly exposed to air resistance and getting pushed up lmao
