Blocking someone is admitting defeat, they'd rather argue in circles relentlessly than admit you were so annoying they had to shut you out of their discourse. In my more surly moments I've tested to see how long it took to get them to block me without resorting to things that might get me suspended/threats. And it turns out most of them will go on for two days, though this was mostly Facebook and not Twitter. On Twitter they usually just mute you after dropping their talking point zinger I think. Blocking is viewed as a form of fragility, so leftists that are block happy get seen as easily triggered wimps that can't handle Facts and Logic. If you think you are so correct then there's no reason to back down, only a coward and a liair would ever concede.
