Yeah, that was definitely a new one but it was rad, so I'm good with it.

Looks like now she can do really fine grained control over it if she wants to. like phasing only the guys hand and gun into his own head? That seems new. We know she can be super lethal thanks to alt timeline/universe stories though.

Realistically, it was probably because Duggan thought it was badass.

I suppose you could attribute it to that low-key plot point that mutants who get resurrected sometimes find their powers have grown.

Immortal X-Men is good. Charles is, unsurprisingly, in a really rough place right now. Glad to see the mutants who went through the gates are, in fact, alive. Exodus jumping at the chance to live out his namesake gives me a sensible chuckle.

I forget, what's the deal with the children of the vault? As in, who built the vault or put their predecessors in it? I thought it was Orchis but since they mentioned that Orchis seems to just not be paying them much mind, it implies they didn't make them...

Also I know it's just the way Marvel works, but gettin' a hearty lol at all these magical future cities being built and Cable and Bishop just walking around completely unchanged NYC

Yeah, I was gonna say the Children of the Vault should watch their backs, you saw what happened to Krakoa right after Forge put together a plan to end homelessness.

It was good to see some progress on the Cable/Bishop relationship. I'm hoping they just kind of soft retcon Bishop's whole deal into "went too far in some areas" from "genocided 99% of all possible futures."

I think the Vault was just your standard mad science experiment, it was just a time dilation project that got out of hand. Been a minute since I've read the Carey run, though.

The vault is a time dilation thing that apparently is not the world, which is another time dilation thing fentomex visited in the Hickman X-Men book, which is not the other world, which is the time dilation thing Hickman has the maker build twice now in two different universes

Hope was raised by Cable. If someone's power isn't immediately and abundantly useful in a combat situation, she will think it's useless. She probably thinks her own power is useless, which is why she carries large guns everywhere!

So Tom Brevoort said he is gonna be in charge of X-Men; is this the actual death of the Krakoa era? or is it a good sign, that the mutants are even more of a priority for editorial?

I'm guessing it's the end of the Krakoan era and table setting to prepare MCU stuff, since Breevort kind of did that with the Avengers line. X-Men are likely gonna get pushed to the forefront, but hard to say if that's gonna be good or bad.

If this is gonna be like the time the Captain Marvel movie came out and someone at Marvel thought the best way to push Carol was loving Civil War 2, where she went full-on Minority Report fash, then I'm not looking forward to what they come up with.
