So the MSN splash page that I never bothered changing on my work PC served me up something amazing from the Daily Caller today.

https://dailycaller.com/2023/08/10/dad-8-year-old-kicked-olive-garden-for-being-scared-trans-waiter-fires-back/

Tucker's Outlet posted:

A father is alleging that he and his eight-year-old daughter were kicked out of an Olive Garden in College Station, Texas, for asking for a different waiter after his daughter expressed concern at the presence of a transgender employee.

The incident, which reportedly occurred on July 18, 2023, was detailed in an open letter that the father, whose signed it as “Kevin,” sent to the restaurant chain and shared with Haley Kennington, an investigative reporter and News Editor for Wrong Speak Publishing. The father says he is a veteran, and calls the incident an example of “tyranny.”

“My daughter told me she was scared because the waiter sounded like a man but looked like a woman,” the father wrote in the letter. “The waiter was a man wearing a woman’s hair style (curled/wavy), sparkling earrings, face makeup, bright blue eye makeup, and purple lipstick. I discreetly and respectfully asked for a different server. We were promptly kicked out of the restaurant by the manager. We stood up and left.”

“I took an oath that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. I fought tyranny overseas on multiple combat tours. I looked tyranny in the eye and felt its wrath on my back. I know what tyranny is and have lived on the receiving end of it,” he continued. “And now. I have experienced tyranny at your restaurant, by your hand. You wanted me to celebrate sin or leave. It is crystal clear that you are promoting and advancing trans-tyranny.”

Mark Huffman, a family friend of Kevin’s, believes he was mass reported and suspended from Twitter after speaking out. Mark also appeared on the Stew Peters Network to discuss the incident.

Something Awful, so easy even a spaceman can do it!

I think this originally popped up a month ago but the story said that the waitress was wearing a dress. It was quickly pointed out that Olive Garden servers all wear the same outfit which includes black pants. I do not think that anything from the story could be actually verified (and having “Wrong Speak” and Stew Peters as part of the story makes it more likely that everything is just made up).

I am glad that MSN (connected to that “liberal” MSDNC) is helping spread this stuff.

It's not a public debate. None of the presidential or primary debates are public debates. The US has no system for that. Fox News owns the copyright, and they can do whatever they want with it. This is why recent debates get pulled from YouTube within a day or so of being posted.

That said, news organizations airing clips of the debate have a slam dunk fair use defense so I imagine almost nobody will actually follow these rules.

Yeah MSN serves out some amazing clickbait; it's not all right wing (but it's never left wing). For every five trans-panic articles they link they probably link to one respectful story. The whole thing is designed to be catnip to the average MSN splash page user, who might be even older than the average Fox News viewer.

But yeah, "Kevin"? He's not willing to give his full name? When being a RWM-famous persecuted conservative means people across the country just throw money at you, like Zimmerman and Rittenhouse? Might as well call himself Marine Todd.

The modern revisionists and reactionaries call us Stalinists, thinking that they insult us and, in fact, that is what they have in mind. But, on the contrary, they glorify us with this epithet; it is an honor for us to be Stalinists.

BiggerBoat posted:

Curious why not? The government controls the means and the production, to the extent that it's meaningfully applicable and they're publicly funded by tax dollars. Same with our military. That's three pretty big tiers of society that if a conservative took five minutes to think about it or if it were something else like, I dunno, the EPA or the FDA, a Republican might think of it as socialism. Or Big Government at a minimum.

Vincent Van Goatse posted:

OK, I can understand the police part of your statement (although every self-described "socialist" state has also had police so this might be described as special pleading of the "no true socialist" variety), but why include fire departments?
In reply to both posts, I think it equates "socialism" with any sort of state ownership. There is nothing exceptional in a capitalist state taking on functions to better serve the interests of capital. A capitalist whose means of production are on fire would much rather have the cost of putting it out "shared" among the mass of the population in the form of taxes rather than having to pay more for the Ayn Rand Firefighting Corporation to do so (not to mention the capitalist not having to be like "oh god my financial agreement with the private firefighters expired last week, that means they won't come to put out the fire" or whatever.)

Likewise if no capitalists can profitably run a particular railroad, the state can step in and keep transit costs low for the whole capitalist class, again "sharing" the costs among the mass of the population.

If I claim the American police system isn't socialist it's because police falling under state or municipal control has next to no bearing on the private ownership of industry and agriculture or capitalist production in general. I wouldn't point to law enforcement in the USSR, Cuba, etc. either if I was trying to determine the nature of their economies.

You want to know the real reason Tom Brady and Gisele divorced?

quote:

Despite the fairytale romance image, back in 2019, I had an ominous feeling about the couple’s future. Brady admitted glibly to CBS that he credited his 2019 Superbowl win with the Patriots beating the Rams 13-3 to witchcraft. His wife had been directing his participation in it. Having interviewed many exorcists warning that anything occult was from the devil, I knew there would be trouble ahead. We don’t know how the devil will play his cards, but when he is the dealer, he ultimately works toward the demise of those involved.

In all, Brady had 10 Super Bowl appearances and seven victories, some of those before getting together with Gisele, but witchcraft become a part of his pregame rituals.

“I have these little special stones and healing stones and protection stones, and she has me wear a necklace and take these drops she makes and say all these mantras,” Brady told CBS.

...

Both Tom Brady and Gisele were raised Catholic but lost their way by calling on a power not of God. It breaks the First Commandment, “I am the Lord thy God; thou shalt not have false gods before me.”

...

So, should we connect the dots between witchcraft and divorce? We don’t know the inside story of anyone’s relationships, but we do know that God saves and the devil destroys.

BREAKING: Donald Trump is hit with a brutal Friday bombshell as lawyers from the prominent conservative Federalist Society publish a paper declaring that Trump MUST be banned from running for president “under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.”

But it gets WAY worse for Trump…

In their brutal paper, the Federalist Society accuses Trump of treason for “engaging in or gave aid and comfort to an insurrection against the constitutional government” when he incited the deadly January 6 insurrection as part of his failed coup attempt.

Adding insult to injury for Trump, the Federalist Society argues that Section 3 of the 14th Amendment — known as the insurrection clause — is "self-executing, operating as an immediate disqualification from office, without the need for additional action by Congress. It can and should be enforced by every official, state or federal, who judges qualifications. It covers a broad range of former offices, including the presidency. And in particular, it disqualifies former President Donald Trump, and potentially many others, because of their participation in the attempted overthrow of the 2020 presidential election.”

The clause states that "no person shall be a senator or representative in Congress, or elector of president and vice president, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any state legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any state, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof."

Last September, a New Mexico judge ordered the removal of a county commissioner who took part in the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. The decision marked the first time since 1869 that a court disqualified a public official under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.

Now, it appears that it may be used against Trump — the mastermind who orchestrated the insurrection.

Please retweet and ❤️ if you think that Trump MUST be banned from running for office ever again — and consider joining the growing exodus to Tribel, a woke new Twitter competitor that banned Trump for life and is exploding in popularity because Elon Musk banned Tribel’s Twitter account — but he forgot to ban this link to download the new Tribel app: http://tribel.app.link/okwPIHYCIqb

"(Reuters) - A New Mexico county commissioner became the first public official to lose their job for participating in the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol when a state judge on Tuesday ruled that the Republican violated the U.S. Constitution by engaging in an insurrection.

State District Court Judge Francis Mathew wrote in his decision that Otero County Commissioner Couy Griffin, founder of a group called "Cowboys for Trump," violated Section 3 of the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution when he took part in the riot that left four people dead and 100 police officers injured, disqualifying him from holding local, state or federal office."

Yeah that's my impression, since there's no indication he was unsure what the title of Marx's most famous work is. What he said wouldn't even make sense in a "muhahahahaha I will confuse Marx with Hitler in my audience's minds" way, since he mentions the year 1848 and I'd like to assume even the most ignorant Fox News viewers know Hitler wasn't a contemporary of Lincoln and Robert E.
