But as to expanding the map, it's even easier than that. The game gates section off space of via max jump distance. Introduce a new grav drive with a few extra lightyears and suddenly new stars are in range here here and here. And then all the associated stars in range of them.

(Howard specifically said that he hopes modders will do). Adding more planets seems excessive. i mean possible people will do it for what ever reason, but it really doesn't seem like an essential thing for modding unless it turns out to be really hard to change existing planets, which with how much they most of had to do when creating and testing the game feels like it's probably not the case.

thoughts on characters you want to RP as? from sci-fi media, so far I'm planning for: -Jean-Luc Picard (diplomat, good at ship combat, explorer, with a Riker-type companion) -Ridley (bad-rear end space trucker lady) -Cooper from Interstellar (farmer, pilot, explorer) I also want to do a neon space rat cyber runner hacker. Just hard to decide what to do as my main.

Being inanimate it moves sort of slow making the quest one of the more annoying ones TBH, but what ever the carbon rod deserves to be protect.
