I never stopped wearing mine and by now it's just another article of clothing. My theory is that conservatives are so loving out of shape that they're already struggling to get enough oxygen, so the tiny, tiny bit that a mask does restrict made them panic. I can't understand why the vitriol was so great and sustained otherwise, it's beyond even just contrarianism..although by now, sure, it's just entrenched as A Thing Shitheads Do.
