Decided to start a 3rd playthrough of Elden Ring even though I haven't finished my first two. Going for a fist/claw only run this time as Max Punchman, the World's Punchingest Man. Already 19 hours in and only just beat Margit.

pacman world 2 hasn't aged the best, i honestly think the original is better at what it does. the camera in 2 is a nightmare, getting caught on things, being inflexible, and a general pain in the rear end. It sometimes goes fixed, but the fixed camera can still have a mind of its own and if you turn a certain way the camera might rotate to face backwards and you can't just manually reset it it kind of feels like a game that started on the ps1 and moved to ps2 mid-development because the level design is kind of cramped and really simplistic in the way that i expect out of a ps1 3d platformer i'll be interested in trying PMW3 because it's apparently v divisive for putting in more action elements and larger levels and being less of a 'true' PMW game but honestly those elements to me seem like they might be a necessary infusion The 7th Guest fucked around with this message at 19:18 on Aug 27, 2023 |

Today I beat En Garde! Charming little game with a pleasing art style and some fast swashbuckling swordplay. It's quite short, only taking me about 3 hours to play through the entire campaign on Medium, but there is also an Arena Mode and some additional challenges. Fun way to kill an afternoon. So far in 2023 I have completed: Citizen Sleeper Vampire Survivors Batora: Lost Haven Vengeful Guardian: Moonrider Hi-Fi Rush Wanted: Dead Chop Goblins Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores (DLC) Valkyrie Elysium Age of Wonders 4 Diablo IV Final Fantasy XVI Octopath Traveler II Baldur's Gate 3 En Garde! beat links awakening switch what a legendary game. glad i finally got to play it and this version ruled. looking up the QoL changes for the switch i am really glad i played this version. been reading interpretations of the ending. so wonderfully melancholy. i am going with the idea that all of Koholint vanished when the wind fish up. the seagull at the end wasnt Marin reincarnated but Link fondly remembering her when he saw the gull. I'm playing through the Star Trek Resurgence game with my wife and it's really fun to play it that way. Although right now it's very funny-- you have two characters you control, and one is tasked with galactic ethical intruige while the other one is like, should I gently caress this girl??

Disco Elysium's protagonist struggles with this and you can handle that in different ways, although the games main themes are more political and philosophical but your means of interacting come through an avatar with a bad relationship with alcohol.
