I have my doubts that all 4 (?) times he's gotten covid have been real. Hard to not have doubts with just about anything Alex says. I feel like he would be incentivized to pretend to have gotten it so he can do the whole "I got it and it wasn't even bad" thing and act big and strong and sell supplements. I mean I'm sure he's had covid just 4 times with minimal noticeable impact to his health or schedule is hard for me to believe for some reason.

I recently caught up to where I started with the fallout from the 1.5 billion dollar judgement, and given I jumped in around episode #480 or something after that (the 2020 election run up), I decided to just go back to the start. I don't know that I'll listen to it all through now, but I figure I'll listen to at least a little around the start, and certainly more than the first 3 episodes I listened to back when I first picked up this podcast before jumping to what sounded interesting. Man it's wild hearing Dan lay out that he wants to make a few things clear, that he doesn't want Alex removed from the air or censored when measured against where things are now etc. Simpler times

I don't think their hearts are in this anymore. Between the lengthy (and lengthening) show introductions to the frequent diversions into things not related to AJ in the middle of the show (This week it was Survivor talk which I admit is about as boring to me as any subject can possibly get), to the gradual shortening of shows in addition to all the filler, I think they need to admit to themselves that they need to move on. Even when they stay on topic, it almost all feels like retreading old ground, which isn't their fault so much as AJ's lack of creativity. I think they need to either commit to a new subject, or a different kind of podcast altogether. I worry if they don't do it soon, people are going to stop listening and they'll have trouble recovering even if they do pivot. I feel like I'm on the verge of moving on, myself. I find myself skipping over almost half of the show time these days.

Controversial, but I liked the Tucker episodes. Keeping an eye (ear?) on these poo poo heads with someone going in depth on exposing their lies and bullshit will keep me listening. Jones though? Yeah the well is getting dry. He's gonna rehash the same ten or twenty lines of hate speech for 99% of his shows. Cover the latest events, point out the lie he's using today, then move on.

I think KF as it is right now is fine, but also I doubt anyone would mind if they cut their workload a little and made the podcast more of weekly check-in/highlights reel instead of trying to find material for 2-3 episodes each week.

If I were them, I'd be a little concerned about the awful stuff she's spouting and how it reflects on them but they make fancy gas pumps or something and aren't really in the spotlight (yet.) so I guess it doesn't matter? Pearl is a good podcast interviewer in the same way Wyatt Koch is a good fashion designer. Someone earlier was asking about good episodes for a first time listener and I feel like the Pearl one is decent for that purpose, given her deer-in-headlights approach to Alex.

"Attention harvester" is a rather apt way of putting it, but wouldn't that make her not much different from a spammer? She might be yelling inflammatory things about abortion rights instead of advertisements, but the practical purpose behind it is the same motive as a junkmailer.
