One of my favorite things about Margot Robbie is she's all business when she's working but holy god she's had some hosed up experiences while working. During a big sex scene with DiCaprio in wolf of Wall Street, they finished the scene and Leo couldn't find his vape pen, and she had to break it to him that it was literally in her butt crack from all the moving around they did in the scene.

I do not know if he kept it or not.

That sounds completely made up. Wolf of Wall Street is set before vape pens. Both Di Caprio and everyone on the crew including Scorcese would have to be unprofessional as hell to even let him take it in front of the camera, let alone put it where an actor would be in shot.

Ok this is really hosed up.... I read that post like ten minutes ago, and then went on Facebook.... I'm scrolling through and one of the promoted pages had this link about the most awkward sex scene stories from movies. I only clicked on it because of that Wolf of Wall Street post just above, and sure enough, the Margot Robbie one is there, quoting her talking about it.

I realize that FB probably keeps tabs on poo poo but I'm using the Awful app.... Is this a super weird coincidence, or has zuck made it to SA somehow?

Exactly my thought too, vape pens/batteries can be pretty small so it likely fell during the scene & she butt-pliered it rolling around. Odd he'd go into "it's not PERIOD ACCURATE" as if Leo was vaping & blowing it into her butthole at some point. He probably had it sitting around between scenes & just knocked it on the floor or something.

Nap Ghost
Margot Robbie learned to ice skate for I, Tonya and did the first minute of one of Harding's routines for real. As an Aussie, I can't imagine she had much expierience on ice growing up. Then for Harley Quinn she learned roller skating. She demonstrates a good stride and throws a solid hip check. Respect for that.

Here's a video if you are curious.

RIP Arleen Sorkin BTW. She was the original voice of Harley, and the inspiration for the character.

I could see DiCaprio or Scorsese getting deep into that kind of authenticity, but I don't know of them being that particular brand of crazy.

I don't think the idea is "your character couldn't smoke an e-cig, so you can't either, even off screen". It's "Stashing your e-cig/starbucks cup/whatever behind something instead of just handing it to a production assistant to hold is asking for it to accidentally end up in the shot and wreck a take"

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying. It's not quite on the "wristwatch in a Roman epic" of movie myth and legend, but some pedantic motherfucker would have pointed it out if it had been seen and Scorcese would have been sorely vexed. E: have we already forgotten the plastic water bottles in the last series of GOT?

As for Pattinson, that's hardly an argument. If Batman can have shark repellent on his utility belt he can have a bloody E-cig.

Robert Pattinson's Batman is also a huge weirdo* who absolutely would hit the vape in the most inappropriate situations, so if anything it's extra fitting.

"Listen, if Jack Nicholson didn't want to be fired, he should have acted like a tired, deranged lunatic who was fed up with having to do multiple takes the first time. Instead he shot the scene exactly as scripted and rehearsed, so I just had to let him go!" -Stanley Kubrick on The Shining, according to that person.

How many iconic scenes in film history are a result of people loving up a scene and it turning out better than the scripted scene? Hell, look at psychos like Kubrick and Hitchcock who would inflict multiple reshoots on their actors BECAUSE it would lead to fuckups like that?

It's been forever ago... Is Pacino referring to Charlize Theron's rear end?

Also, not a film but a show, but the roof pizza in Breaking Bad, landing perfectly, was a accident. You can see Bryan Cranston's double-take but he keeps on trucking.

There's a scene in Best in Show where Parker Posey is desperately searching for her dog's toy and hits her head hard while looking under a table. She just shakes it off and continues screaming at the hotel employees and it ends up working for the scene because she looks even more insane.

On a similar note, in Alien Resurrection Sigourney Weaver genuinely made the reverse 3-pointer and was pissed as hell that the ball went out of the top of the frame because she knew everyone would think it was CGI.

Actors adlibbing or making mistakes often adds to a film. For another example, “The Devils Advocate” was originally meant to be a terse legal thriller/drama with no supernatural elements at all until after 3 weeks of shooting Pacino just started acting like the devil one day
