So it's just pushing the C64 to see what can actually run on it? Thats still pretty cool, even if Linux can't actually do anything.

I have an 1541 Ultimate II+ cart for my C64, which also has an ability to act as a memory expansion. A part of me likes the idea of installing that on my real C64 and leaving it on for a week until Linux has booted.

The keyboard was only worn while typing; thus why it is spoken of as fitting in a shirt pocket

The watch needed to be physically connected to the keyboard to function, so if you were on the go and needed to add a contact you could with keyboard setup on wrist. This was supposed to replace your back pocket address book.

It also looked goofy as hell which is why it wasnt displayed as such in an effusive article.

Creativity flows in the bored and the angry!
Wearable computers are almost always impractical yet irresistibly "futuristic" so they'll get rolled out every couple years and then fail spectacularly.

See Google glass, and well "cyberdecks" counts as well I guess.

I don't know anything about Fisher but I see a single cassette player and an AM/FM receiver... there's just not much to it. Looks cool, yeah, but I don't think I'd pay more than $100.

Those are pretty basic components. Maybe slightly better than the late 80s black plastic crap. I wouldn't pay more than like $100 for the set though.

I've personally always felt Fisher was a budget brand with ugly design. There are of course stand out Fisher products but I wouldn't pay $200 for a Fisher Component system. If everything works and you low ball them to $100 it might be worth it.

I was going to joke in this thread that I couldn't do that watch cos I wear a watch on my left arm! If you were to find that watch - it will forever live in my Leftorium! (also I will pay you or a charity of your choice)
