There's been a slow drain for a while now, you see plenty of big twitter posters have alternate accounts on threads/mastodon/bluesky. I don't know there will ever be one big moment people stop using it unless it goes down for a week+ or something, but I think it will continue it's slow slide into Elon stans and crypto scams

i don't really care too much about tesla as a brand other than it personally enriching one of the stupidest people in the world, because 'people wasting money on dumb poo poo' is always at least a little funny, but i really resent that the lesson most other car makers have taken from tesla is "people want their car to be an android phone you can drive" (not to imply that "an apple phone you can drive" would somehow be good, but it would at least be dogshit in a different way)
