smarxist posted:it seriously looks like a toy inside, is that what people want from a car now i guess? the "dash" just being another loving device is like, ugh. it's not what people want & one of the most consistent pieces of feedback I've seen from people about modern cars in general is that people hate touch screens that have to be used while driving for anything tactile feedback is infinitely better because you don't have to look - but HVAC control and radio knobs and stuff like that have to be manufactured the touchscreen is entirely a cost saving measure modern cars all have Bluetooth, they honestly don't even need a touch screen, they could use your phone on a mount, but they'd still need to have physical controls for anything of importance while driving, so instead, one touchscreen
