The current and the bullsharks are definitely enough to deter me from swimming there, having taken a houseboat out several times around Brooklyn, I've seen hammerheads, bullsharks, plenty of turtles, massive shovelnose, poo poo tonnes of jellyfish. But the most dangerous are the insane locals who speed around the bay with no lights on.

I'm going into an unfair dismissal hearing tomorrow and based on the respondents submission (that they deliberately left until 5 minutes before cut off so I would not have plenty of time to prepare) I am extremely out of my depth so uh anyone got any advice? Do they look kindly on self representing ppl with a decent reason for submitting? Or am I basically hosed without a union delegate?

Sorry I've only seen this now but I was involved in something similar last year. My understanding is that as long as it's clear to the judge that one party is in the wrong as per Fair Work laws it shouldn't make any difference whether you self represented or not. Good luck mate

You shouldnt need representation. That said, if at all possible I'd try to get a union delegate or one of their legal officers to help you because they're going to be way more familiar with the law and the process.

What's the deal with main roads in Victoria that are 2 marked lanes at light, then after 10 meters past the lights they're not lane marked, it's super wide, speed limit is 60. Some people treat it like it's one lane others want to treat it like two and pass me because I'm only doing 64. Are these 2 lanes or 1? I didn't know how to begin googling.

Daughter's shower screen spontaneously shattered at 2:30 this morning. So of course she rang me worried that property management would never believe she hadn't done anything to cause it. Five minutes on Google told me that it's a known issue and that it frequently happens between midnight and 3am.
