What is the deal with Zoomers and young Gen Z women being obsessed with being a "tradwife"? Why is this an internet phenomenon? Why is "tradwife" a thing? Is it not just a housewife? Why are a chunk of Gen Z all for this concept? I can undertsand the appeal of it for incel men, but why is it a thing among women? I keep hearing and seeing the term everywhere and it seems like a weird hyped-up lifestyle movement around being a housewife.

i really don't know much about it, i'm not even on tik tok in the first place. my comment was inspired by this bit from a business insider article i read sometime backquote:Making viral content and getting social media views is a legitimate career path for many, which begs the question: does TikTok count as "working outside the home?" This complicates "anti-work" trad wife content, since creating content is a kind of work and can be lucrative. i would agree that most prominent tradwife's are doing it as content creators first and as a lifestyle as a distant second. i have no idea how many women actually buy into and attempt to live this way, but my assumption is they're few and far between it's my impression that there are a wide gamut of idealized lifestyle social media folks, and i guess the question is how well to any of their audience actually correspond to a following of real people attempting to live that lifestyle. is there a significant number of people actually trying to engage in the "up at 3am grindset", or the all of the different hours long daily wellness routines?

Getting people hooked early on that stuff can be very profitable, even when it is almost completely useless.

Found this video of 2 hours of live footage from local NYC news morning shows on 9/11. The man on the street callers who call in are amazing and it is pretty bonkers watching all of it happen in real time and people trying to figure out what is going.
