Tai's entire offense is just loading up into a left hook or overhand right and Volkov is just going"lol here's an uppercut" every time. Tai also just kinda of shuffles backwards when he gets stung and well, if you can throw a straight punch - which is in itself not a given at heavyweight - it lands.

I'll never forget the night strickland did his whole I'm a psychopath, I love violence and killing bit then threw wimpy little jabs for 25min. Or when pereira killed him in the first round. He should be promptly vanquished but then again this sport is desperately, brutally stupid
