Yeah that’s my main objection, the pace is a little off and the visuals are doing that “let’s use low contrast darks because it’s like natural lighting” poo poo that I hate but mostly, it’s the story depending a little too much on the good guys being dumb because the bad guys have to keep winning until the last minute turnaround. Like the first plot beat is a prison break succeeding because the guy piloting the prison ship is a moron.

I always assume in those “join me!” situations that there is also a ton of unseen Force psionic warfare whirling around. Like how when modern jet-fighters engage in combat they also use electronic warfare to jam, confuse, or even subvert eachother’s avionics.

He's always been good, but he's blending a really unique mix of his own style and the more bombastic Williams-esq stuff that feels very different than the stuff in Mando and Boba Fett that I really like. I liked during the Clone Wars flashback that some of his Blade Runner style synths from the last season of CW snuck into the score

If they wanted to make 3d movies a success they would have made a 3d movie about some kind of escaped wild animal, such as a film about a gorilla at large for instance. If that didn't make 3d movies a success, well then nothing would.
