If I want to chill and not do duties, what are some quick alternatives to levelling up a job? I assume completing challenges is the next best thing, then doing sidequests near your current level.

They don't need plants, any huge FC venue or not that has set up submarines will have the funds to give away casino winnings passively.  If you're new and wondering, it's an enormous pain in the rear end material dump that assumes you're an active guild in a FC house but if you can handle the up front costs it's like your retainer quests but once(twice?) a week they return with vendor trash worth 7 digits. snoremac posted:If I want to chill and not do duties, what are some quick alternatives to levelling up a job? Scratches my early WoW BG itch real good and now that my tome purchases are done I can put the extra to flipping the orchestrions until the event ends. Fates are present throughout the game, and if you can find a party or a bored blu friend, they go very fast. Experience from a fate is about the same as the experience from a sidequest of the same level although you can get more from a fate if it spawns a bunch of mobs. From level 1-60 there are also levequests. Doing a certain number a week give nice challenge log boosts, and unless you're using them to level crafting/gathering, you probably have a capped allowance. Daily tribal quests become a thing starting in the 40s. The experience given for older beast tribe quests is not as good as current ones but this is also a factor of how many combat tribe quests you have at lower levels vs higher ones. All ARR jobs also have a hunting log that is good for 1-50 experience. These things and sidequests are you fastest way to level alt classes without the use of duties.

Once you know how they work, I find Palace of the Dead/ Heaven on High runs pretty mindless, and they give decent XP in the right level ranges.

To be specific… most of what you get is mid expansion crafting materials, the stuff that max level gatherers tend to ignore. It’s actually a really good system to create a reasonable supply of those mats in the market for people leveling crafters. There are also a bunch of submarine exclusive minions, housing items, and orchestrion rolls that will be a lot more variable in supply/demand. That said, I am basically funding my FC with stone lofts. Need a lot of those to make some fancy venues!

You're also getting to a point where real life events impacted the plot of the game in a very noticeable way. Specifically, Yugiri's English VA was murdered, so she didn't show up at all in the 3.X content cycle until the criminal case was resolved, which was around 3.5 or the start of 4.0, IIRC.Edit: Added a source link because it sounds like a wild rumor or bizarre tasteless joke. Can't overcomplicate the healer DPS buttons as it's not their focus, so they generally just get progressive upgrades that look cooler. Instead of hurling rocks at people you're now a holy laser turret.

I'm not sure about the later lootbox rewards but the 1-100 ones are not unique, though they do drop some glams. You can however exchange your mettle for unique weapon glams (the shiny weapon you wear in the palace)

There’s some side quests and the goodie bags drop some nice loot but it’s all stuff you can buy from other players. The only unique thing is that you can grind out tokens to get the aether weapon skins for regular use

Once you get an aetherpool weapon to +10, you can trade in those levels for a token. Three tokens lets you get a Padjali weapon, a version of the aetherpool weapon that can be used anywhere/glamored. Six tokens plus a Padjali weapon can be traded for a Kinna weapon, with a really edgy red+black glowy design. You also have a small chance (increasing the deeper you get) to loot potsherds from the hidden treasure chests, which can be traded in for minions, a mount and orchestrion rolls. You can currently get the mount for 50 mogtomes though. e;fb multiple times, jeez
