Wow, Miranda's kinda of a bitch.

Yeah, Holbrook's got a real talent for making people who are supposed to be 'good guys' be as detestable possible.

We're supposed to be relieved this messy relationship drama ends neatly with Edgar and Leona finding the people they're supposed to be with. But the way Miranda outright tells Leona she has a strict time limit to fix her relationship with Edgar and her telling Edgar she's not surprised they broke up later on is seriously lovely. I know Holbrook didn't give it any thought, but the fling with Edgar comes across less as a spur of the moment thing due to passion and more that Miranda planned out how to steal another girl's boyfriend.

Those of you who were debating the fantasy elements of Zits and Crabgrass, what the hell do you make of this turn of events? Especially since this strip started off a socialist corrective to Orphan Annie and that lot?

I have to say I liked it better when the strip was about kids fighting for a school lunch program.

I like how this strip tells you a lot about the lives the creators live. Too clumsy for a soap dispenser, rich enough that they assume eight year olds have their own bathrooms.

Just so we're clear, the cats are now being conscripted into planting propaganda and disinformation to favor one side of an ongoing war.

I have a high tolerance for cutesy nonsense, and if this were a Redwall-esque kids' adventure book I'd probably like it, but I can see why people are complaining about it.

Reminds me of that one dude from Gargoyles, who was betrothed to the woman Macbeth loved, and everyone knew that they loved each other, but the dude was totally fine with the idea of crushing her hopes and dreams by forcing their engagement still.

I know there's been several stories like this, where Prince Val helps out another couple, I definitely enjoy the Cupid aspect of his bloodthirsty adventures.

This is a post from a few days ago, but I waited to respond to it until now since you called Val Cupid. In addition to the "next time" blurb, Gawain will call him that directly tomorrow.

This is old-timey Mary Worth so clearly we will be forced to endure a "happy" ending where these people remember they love each other and patch up their differences and that sucks. This marriage is dead. It's just loving dead. It was already dead when we first met these nimrods and it has not shown any signs of resurrecting at any point since. You're at the point of accusing each other of cheating. The trust is long gone. Just get a divorce, you two, and find other people you actually like and marry them instead. THAT would be a happy ending.
