Nation Extreme Wrestling - NEW 14 - 9/9/23 Full show playlist here. Admittedly I'm biased because I do their post-production work, but I attended the show live as a fan, and the whole thing kicked rear end. We have a ton of talent here that you're going to find out about soon if you haven't already seen them. HM: Clandestine Society vs Voros Twins -Fun tag opener. They were told to hype up the crowd, and they did just that. Daniel Makabe vs Cat Power -Makabe's one of the most underrated technical wrestlers in the world, and Cat's always been a fun brawler. El Phantasmo vs Royce Isaacs -This was supposed to be hometown boy ELP getting a title shot, but the champ wasn't cleared. Isaacs stepped in last minute for a fun one. 4-Way: Malik Melo vs Jeremy Prophet vs Amir Jordan vs Eli Surge -Great little sprint. Amir was from NXT UK, the rest are Canadian indie guys. Women's Championship: Nicole Matthews(c) vs Taryn From Accounting -Nicole has had a great veteran title run, and TFA's been making waves lately. Really solid match from both. MOTYC: Tag Team Title TLC: U.L.T(c) vs Re:Loaded vs iLLa Tribe -You're going to hear about these guys soon. All are homegrown tag teams, and they all went hard in this one. No DQ: Sebastian Wolfe vs Miles Deville -Just holy gently caress, this was a wild bloody brawl with so much personal history, and it's been getting some buzz since the show. State of Emergency were the top tag team in the PNW for about 2 years and had a big split that was told across multiple promotions in the region. This was the culmination of their feud, and they just took turns killing each other for half an hour. Even the promoters left their production post so they could watch from the crowd. Don't sleep on this one.

DDT Who's Gonna TOP? 2023 (9/23) HM: Pheromones vs. Akito & Antonio Honda vs. Kazuki Hirata & Naruki Doi -Absolutely ridiculous bit of vulgar comedy wrestling, with a hilarious mid-match twist. Great way to celebrate Pheromones' last match at Korakuen Hall. MOTYC: Omega (Makoto Oishi & Yuji Hino), HARASHIMA & Yukio Sakaguchi vs. Burning (Jun Akiyama & Tetsuya Endo), Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Naya -Every time I think I've seen the Meat Match of the Year I'm proven wrong. This match got absolutely insane when Yuji Hino and Kazusada Higuchi started murdering each other with chops and it didn't stop rolling until the end. Insanely fun. HM: DDT vs. AJPW - Toy Kojima & Yuki Ueno vs. Atsuki Aoyagi & Dan Tamura -There comes a point where everyone kicks into high gear and it becomes an absolutely awesome sprint. Super fun stuff. MOTYC: DDT Universal Championship - Matt Cardona (c) vs. Maki Itoh -I waffled on HM or MOTYC for a bit because it has a shaky start and becomes a clusterfuck (which some love, some hate) but the low blow spot and buckets of blood (aided by the hilarious incredulous commentary by Christelle Ciari who is having a blast watching Maki Itoh carve Cardona up) shot it up there. Just great American heel work by Matt Cardona, and at some point the ridiculously overblown bullying and constant false finishes won me over and I became in on the joke. Cardona dedicating the match to "the greatest Japanese wrestler of all time, John Laurinaitis" clinched it for me.  MOTYC: Konosuke Takeshita vs. MAO -  A match full of sicko bumps, insanely smooth moves and counters and sequences, and a moment where the commentary genuinely wondered if they were going to kiss, all of which are ingredients to make an excellent match in my eyes. And that's BEFORE Don Callis shows up. I was screaming "WHAT THE gently caress" at my TV throughout the last minute and a half. MAO and Takeshita are absolutely incredible. They're going to be on top of the world one day. The post-match was also incredible. Watch this one ASAP.MOTYC: KO-D Openweight Championship: Chris Brookes (c) vs. Saki Akai -When a match is so good the commentators get absolutely swept away in the action and go full mark-out mode you know you're watching something special. Absolutely mental submission spots, unbelievable action, a white-hot crowd, and so much emotion and respect. Incredible story, incredible action. I'm going to miss Saki Akai so much when she retires and Chris Brookes is just a joy to watch perform. A sensational main event. Really fantastic show bolstered by a great commentary team and a great crowd.

AJPW Giant Series September 8th MOTYC KAIRI and Saori Anou vs Unagi Sayaka and Sareee - The Sareee return/Kairi retirement tour has been so heckin rad, not the biggest Unagi fan but felt like she was at a higher gear than I usually see her in GLEAT or GanPro Kento Miyahara vs Yuma Anzai - If you ever read any of the posts I (or forkboy) make about All Japan you'd already know how much we love these two guys. Anzai's the loving future and Kento is the best wrestler in the world so this match was unsurprisingly great, goddamn the part where Anzai's struggling to get up as Kento boots him in the face over and over was rad as hell HM Zennichi Shin Jidai (Yuma Aoyagi, Atsuki Aoyagi and Rising HAYATO) vs Gungnir of Anarchy (Ryuki Honda, Yusuke Kodama and Masao Hanabata) - I saw this out of order as I was at the September 23rd show with Honda's challenge but this was still a fun match between a bunch of guys I like which served as Honda's "graduation" from GoA. Especially good to see Kodama again for his first All Japan match in months AJPW Giant Series September 14th MOTYC Zennichi Shin Jidai (Yuma Aoyagi and Kento Miyahara) vs Ryuki Honda and Yuma Anzai - That stuff I said above but also about the other two guys, Aoyagi's improved a ton in the years I've been watching and Honda's evolution from TOTAL ECLIPSE rookie to where he is now has been fascinating if full of inconsistent booking HM Hideki Suzuki and Astronauts (Takuya Nomura and Fuminori Abe) vs Ryo Inoue and Evolution (SUWAMA and Dan Tamura) - Man, my time away from NOAH made me forget how heckin rad Hideki Suzuki can be, really enjoy that mean spirited fucker

Did you see the BJW double header from 28th May? There's one show in Nagoya with 2 bangers, Nomura vs Sekimoto and Abe vs Okabayashi, and then they go to Korakurn for Astronauts vs Strong BJ. Haven't watched that yet but I just watched the 2 Nagoya matches, and will be MOTYCing them once I'm back at the pc
