Monty had some nice runs and big short yardage conversions, and watching him ice the game owns, but he was also averaging like 3 ypc for most of the game

Other coaches think he's soft. He consistently comes to primetime games with soft performances. Sometimes he manages the adjustments/comeback but usually far too late.

Well, that was a bad loss, and it sucks losing at home. Feels like Detroit's at least 80% or greater odds to win the division; they've had our number for a couple of years now. Setting that aside and looking at the game from the "the only thing that matters this season is figuring out if Love can be the guy" lens, I think it remains an open question. We've confirmed that Love won't thrive with poor protection, which isn't really a surprise since that's a trait limited to the tippity-top elite QBs. Other than that, I think this game looked a lot like the prior three. I thought his deep-ball accuracy looked a little better today in the rare cases where he actually had the time. Love has thrown a few potential picks in previous games, so it's not shocking those ultimately came through. I still see a lot of potential for this offense to grow and mature over the next couple of seasons.
