They scored one run in the 6th inning of game 1 last year, then didn’t score for 31 more postseason innings across 3+ more games. Yikes.

I've got to say that's not how I expected that series to go. If the Rangers finally have a couple relievers throwing well that can get some outs, they might have a shot.

The Rangers had to fly from Seattle to Tampa the other day and they still looked more alive than the Rays did in two games

Even though I normally dislike the Rangers, I'm glad to see the team that paid some dudes in the offseason stomp the perennial cheap-asses. Wouldn't mind a Lone Star ALCS honestly.

With the Mariners and Rays out of the picture, the Twins now have advantage over every team standing between them and the pennant.

It's all falling into place.

I don't care yet who wins between the Twins and Jays, so long as they're still figuring it out tomorrow so the Jays need to start getting something done.

e: also Biggio on a team roster referring to the son and not Craig makes me feel really old.

People have the expectation that Minnesota sports fans don't turn out for some reason and it SURE didn't show tonight. That crowd was alive.

Minnesota fans absolutely show up when the teams are competitive. We just don't have time for Ricketts-esque bullshit of running any ol' squad out there.

Only team in the AL I was truly *worried* about as a Twins fan, so I'm happy. That's not to say we're gonna cruise into the World Series or anything, but I think we're capable of beating anyone that's left.

Wait I'm just getting reports that the Orioles are in fact still in and also very good and beat us in the regular season so maybe won't get very far.
