It's pretty straightforward to make something in the far distance look huge, and looming close to something in the middle distance, as long as you can keep everything in a line. Basically you just stand way back and use a zoom lens. Umm I don't think you understand just how big the Moon really is! I do and those pics don't look anything like the guy is standing right next to it.

No, more just an impressive feat at all of them (except for the youngest and newest guy) having a good enough eye from their work experience to gauge what six inches looks like just by sight. I don't think any of the other guys were off by more than 1/4", which is seriously pretty amazing.

They're usually pretty inaccurate, because you had to guess the range before firing. Very few people used them, even though they were cheap. This dude was dropping rounds directly on individual models, like noscope-headshotting space marines from across the table. Turns out he was a contractor. He used his power to destroy me.

The primary game I play nowadays is Infinity which uses 8 inch increments for a lot of things. One thing that doesn't are large templates used for weapons and it's a shock when your opponent can eyeball if troopers are within 10.5" of someone armed with a heavy flamethrower!

So you know those one wheeled contraptions people love to break their bones riding? Apparently they've been pressured by the CPSC to issue a recall of, uh, everything they make. https://apnews.com/article/onewheel-recall-electric-skateboard-deaths-injuries-39a267efb8a0c7b3532d536b7fcdca60 Has a company ever done this with their entire product line?

IDK, sounds like several models will just get a firmware update. The problem with these is that they need to accelerate/decelerate in order to tip you backward/forward. So if your motor is going 100% full power and you tip forward, oops there's no more power to tip you back, so I sure hope you like smacking into the ground lol.

All they're offering owners whose equipment is too old to upgrade is a $100 coupon towards the purchase of a new one. They still expect you to throw out the recalled one.

Yeah, it only included the years that detected the test conditions and went into a mode that would ace the test. It's like an F1 rulebreaking scheme, but instead of lopsiding a few races, it screwed millions of owners Edit: lol I forgot the way it was discovered as a European group looking for cleaner diesel was like, "Wow! How'd you do that?!", then turns out they didn't. Bondematt fucked around with this message at 01:51 on Oct 5, 2023 |
