Some day I hope we find out why Perry decided to state repeatedly in his book that he wished death upon his neighbour, Keanu Reeves.

There's got to be a really fun and juicy story there, I refuse to believe it was just a poorly chosen target for the joke.

No, that's supposed to be automatic, but I believe Guavanaut was made IK before the system for thread IKs was fully coded.

Cigars can be okay in the right context and and I can see how someone with a palate that’s been melted by years of booze, smoking and spicy food might really rather like them. Single malt is always good though.

Speaking of which has anyone got any recommendations for a new one to try? I like Smokey but I’ve ploughed through all the usual Laphroiag, Lagavulin, Ardbeg range. I really liked Bunnahabhain 12 and that was something a bit different. Really I just want to try something I’ve not really tried before and might make me go ‘oooooooooo that’s new’

As highlighted in threads past, try Lidl whisky. Both the cheap and the moderately cheap ones are good because the guy sourcing them is a big whisky guy.

The Welsh One, can't remember the name, is good.

Talisker is always my favourite, super smokey. Talisker Skye also but maybe too much Big Peat.

Whenever I see people talking about fancy whiskeys I remember that scene from Lost with this quote:

"This is a 60 year MacCutcheon. Named after Admiral MacCutcheon of the Royal Navy. He retired with more medals than any man before him or since. He moved to the highlands to live out his remaining days. This was his crowning achievement. This swallow is worth more than you could make in a month and to share it with you would be a waste, and a disgrace to the great man who made it because you will never be a great man Hume. You’re not worthy of drinking my whiskey. How could ever be worthy of my daughter?"

A career highlight was being invited to watch open heart surgery, we were hanging out with the perfusionists who are the ones running your body while everything from the neck down is switched off. Part of this is filling bags of potentially diabetic piss then empyting into buckets so half the work has been done for you if you're keen.

Port Charlotte or Bruichladdich if you like smoke. Isle of Arran distillery does a smoked malt as well called Machrie Moor (their other offerings are good as well, if you want something different try their Amarone wine cask malt, Ledaig also do w wine cask malt thats a bit cheaper though and it's also peated).

If you don't like peated Macallan is easy to come by and generally very good quality.
