I'm not even mad now. I just feel bad for the developers. It's gotta be so boring working there.

knowing youll be making the same game for the next 25 years has gotta be a nice reassurance in an industry where so many studios lay off employees and fire armies of temps every 2-3years once the game they're working on releases and they're no longer needed

I don't think porting TLOU2 is the studio's main project right now guys and gals.

In my humble opinion, Sony's premier video game studio should release a new game for Sony's premier gaming console that is now 3 years old.

The tone transition from Jak and Daxter to the sequel is one of the funniest things in gaming imo.

I enjoyed Jak 2 a lot but it was extremely hilarious how edgy it wanted to be within the first 5 minutes. Once you get past that it's a good time.

Jak I is boring. Daxter is actually pretty fun but very slight, III is cool but the racing mechanics wore out their welcome and Light Jak made the game a little too easy. Lost frontier is a massive mistake but is also totally forgotten. X doesn't live up to CTR

TLOU2 was one of the most unpleasant experiences, I'm sure Druckmann will refine the story for the TV series like he did for part 1 but the first pasthrough of TLOU2 just being a baby's first lesson in "revenge maybe bad and you lose loving everything" teetered into misery porn for me. I'm also biased though because TLOU 1 had a perfect ending and a second game of moving boxes and cover shooting wasnt needed

Jak 1 was great. I don't think any other 3D platformer had tried a completely interconnected world at that point had they?

Really though after watching the show I can't imagine how the game could be anything other than much much worse. It was a cool story and it would be ruined if instead of seeing the story you had to crawl around doing gunfights and scavenging for items.

Yeah the game is basically most of the scenes from the show as rendered cutscenes plus extended segments where you have to travel from A to B while killing people with stealth or improvised weapons. There's a lot of interstitial banter that got cut, and a lot more zombie encounters, but the story is essentially the same

The show doesn't have Joel's skull getting ripped apart by a bloater. You can only get that content in the game!

Been playing some Neon White. Speed run, adrenaline-filled arcade game, laser-focused level design to be played over and over and completed in a minute or less. Love these kinds of games. Skip all the story anime cutscenes though not for me.

games like neon white, SUPERHOT, and baba is you are the sort of indie titles i always want to see more of, just really cool concepts that are too high risk to see even midshelf releases of

one title i'd love to see a full release of in that vein is MY WAY, which is basically SUPERHOT but you're a horrible bowling ball human who has to ricochet off of walls and enemies in creative ways in order to win

Loved Ben Esposito's other game, Donut County, too. Though that's more of a short comedy game with awesome music.

I'm playing the physical release on the PS5, Baba also got a physical release so there must be an audience for these kinds of games, they truly need to make more.

Going to check out My Way, looks like another quick creative fun arcade indie concept game. Super Hot, Katana Zero, Hotline Miami, fast pace games with a great soundtrack, and good art but nontechnical graphics, don't need gigantic studios to create so I'm hoping there will always be a healthy amount of them being made and trickling in. It's just discovering them is a barrier.

What's the version of breakout that used to come on windows? It had a system of collecting coins that fell from destroyed blocks and you could buy upgrades or something for your paddle? Or maybe it was a ship. Possibly the whole game was an asteroids type instead.
