If this is REMF erasure, I was just thumbing through a book on the military culture of Israel where they have a derogatory Yiddish (Hebrew?) term for rear echelon-niks, scorn the women, Ethiopians and Druze who serve as POGs etc etc. So referring to clerks or whatever as non-military could just reflect how loving weird their society is about this sort of thing, as much as doublespeak.

I saw several Israelis on Twitter calling for Gaza to get the Xinjiang treatment. Which is incredibly funny considering the Chinese response to the 2009 Urumqi riots which left 200 dead and 1700 injured. The evil CCP suspended public transport for a few months, restricted internet access for half a year and arrested a thousand people or so. Since then the GDP per capita has more than doubled and Urumqi has been connected to the rest of China by high speed rail.
