Why is Nintendo so obsessed with making metamorphosis seem whimsical and fun? It's excruciating pain, the process itself is like dying while a new beast eats you from the inside out. Just figure a family friendly company would want to avoid tempting people into hurting themselves by mutating into raccoon men or frogs or elephants and whatever else.

I gave my old gaming rig to my Dad and spent most of last night teaching him how to play Skyrim. His reaction to reaching the character creator and seeing a Khajiit for the first time: "Oh, a cat!" He ended up picking Redguard and spent like an hour bumbling around the tutorial dungeon picking up every wicker basket he could find, accidentally stripping naked and beating the poo poo out of the guy who was supposed to be escorting him to safety. I got home from work today and he told me he had a "bad experience" with a rat.

Waffleman_ posted:Paramount Plus has a fuckin Pet Sematary origin story series and I think it was a mistake to have so many streaming services. the lads at WHM had nothing but sincere contempt for it and i believe it the real issue at play here is that, in the eyes of executives, bringing an original IP to a pitch meeting is the equivalent of carting in a cartoon bomb with a lit fuse, so you end up with either an endless parade of reboots/remakes where we once again get to see batman's parents get killed in glorious 4k, or awkward attempts to staple a story onto the rear end end of a previously existing IP, or sometimes both as is the case here (since this was a followup to the 2019 remake)

I was one of the Guitar Hero early adopters and I got the warranty on the controller for like 10 bucks or something. The sales guy is telling me that I'm totally set now, I could literally smash the guitar onto the ground in front of him right now and he'd have to replace it for me. Then he got very disappointed that I didn't trust him enough to do that. Shout out to that guy lmao.

Today I finished Lies of P! It was perfectly all right to me, by far the most competently made Soulslike I've played up to this point. But I think Bloodborne is Just OK and this game was Just OK as well. Kind of the ideal Gamepass experience. Being a kid is really cool IMO. I remember the Golliwog from Noddy and to my innocent child eyes, it was simply a kind of pixie or whatever. If someone said it was supposed to be a black man, that person would be very silly!
