Iran would only ever attack if the governments existence is existentially frightened they have too many internal issues and a poo poo economy to actively begin a war. Israel bombed them this year and they didn't do much and Trump basically killed their war hero. What Iran can do is instruct or nudge the various Shiite miltias that they have helped organize and fund to go help the Palestinians, however if that happens I assume Israel will also bomb them based on what they just did in Syria a couple of hours ago.

If it wasn't then we would be hearing about baby executions going on all over the place. And even then 1000 Hamas soldiers are not 2 million Palestinian civilians, so any retribution should still only fall on Hamas themselves. 40 beheaded babies is not some innocent isolated claim. It's a lie perpetuated for the purpose of convincing people that Palestinians are violent savages who need to be wiped out. You can't just go oh turns out this one part was made up but... No 'buts', its an evil loving lie made to justify genocide and anyone trying to salvage any part of it is either ignorant or complicit.

The dropping leaflets stuff is such transparent crap. Even if Israel didn't bomb where the evacuees immediately ran to it's not like Hamas is going to hang out and get bombed. Inevitably it can (will) be claimed some Hamas slipped to the next location which requires bombing now. The people that couldn't leave for whatever reasons are conveniently human shields or Hamas supporters, flip a coin, who are just collateral caught up in the unfortunate horror or war or otherwise just deserved to die. It's gross.

Yeah it's absolutely ridiculous that people keep taking the 40 beheaded babies thing being debunked as just the beheadings being untrue but the 40 dead babies part must obviously still hold and not like, the entire story being fabricated from the ground up.

Seeing how quickly anything more than the most milquetoast, both-sidesism support for Palestine became unacceptable to voice in liberal circles has been pretty upsetting. It really seemed like public opinion was shifting against Israel, but when push came to shove it snapped back harder than before. It reminds me of that MLK quote about liberals only wanting a negative pace, which is an absence of violence. And in this situation since Hamas are the ones who started the news cycle, they're the ones who "broke the peace" and all that latent racism and anti-Muslim hostility came roaring back

Iran most likely hit a target near a Israeli power plant a while back. And...they literally bombed a US base and the US did nothing about it. HBO max has a a new news function that shows CNN shows. Two days ago I popped in to see Anderson Cooper talking about 40 decapitated the babies. Yesterday I popped in to see Jake Tapper asking a guest about the 40 decapitated babies. Cooper would kind of acknowledge that the story may not be substantiated but that didn't keep him from mentioned 40 decapitated babies 5 or 6 times in 30 seconds. It was really gross.

The big thing is how many of those Shiite miltias from Iraq, Lebanon and Syria will actually join the war once Israel invades Gaza. If that happens then yea Israel will probably find some excuse to bomb Iran. Also, Gaza is being bomb non stop today in particular the north, one residential/apartment building has been completely levelled with at least 30 dead.
