SLFC 35: Pander vs. Steiner : Another one of these? I'm as depressed about it as you are. Welterweight Bout: Marty McSorley [FITCH] (1-5) vs. Hongo Takeshi [TAC] (0-6) Round 1 : Okay, let's- : Oh. : They say that you learn more from your losses than your wins, and I can only assume that Takeshi is a truly learned man at this point. Official Decision: Marty McSorley def. Hongo Takeshi by TKO (Strikes) (0:30, Round 1) Light Heavyweight Bout: Fry Baker [HK] (0-4) vs. Sergei Dragunov [FGC] (0-4) Round 1 : Hey, at least they can't both lose this fight. And both will do some inconclusive striking to start and- : Someone got taken down by Dragunov? : It's not impossible! It just feels that way. : Dragunov moves to side control! He takes the back! He goes for the armbar! Baker manages to flip things around and manages to get on top in side control, but time expires! Round 2 : Round two and- : Good god. At least it can't get much worse for Baker- : Maybe Dragunov is better than we thought? : Okay, now it can't more embarrassing for Baker. : This is grim. Dragunov goes for the choke, but Baker is able to once again flip him over right before time expires, which keeps Baker alive, but it does mean that he is certainly down two rounds to none. Round 3 : It's the final round. Baker must avoid being taken down. He must avoid it. At any cost. If he gets taken down, he will lose. : Dragunov wins, I guess. Official Decision: Sergei Dragunov def. Fry Baker by Uni. Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) Middleweight Bout: Daisuke Yamamoto [TAC] (1-3) vs. Basher Nanaimo [FITCH] (4-3) Round 1 : The Riders are enemies of the mat. : The mat tends to win. : It's a work in process for Tachibana Racing. : And Nanaimo will unleash the full fury of his FITCH training, by which I mean that he'll just kind if ineffectually beat on Yamamoto from the top for the remainder of the round. Round 2 : Round Two and- : Let's just move on to the last round. Round 3 : It's the last round and...Yamamoto is trying to take Nanaimo down? That can't be right. : Smasher! No! Yamamoto would be insane to do that! : No, Yamamoto is definitely the one initiating the take down. : And that goes exactly how you would think. Official Decision: Basher Nanaimo def. Daisuke Yamamoto by Submission (RNC) (1:42, Round 3) Welterweight Bout: Logan Stourleigh [SODAK] (6-2) vs. Bret Michaels [ROCK] (0-2) Round 1 : Let me be absolutely clear on this point: Bret Michaels is here to give Logan Stourleigh a win, and NOTHING else. : Oh gently caress, Stourleigh might be cooked. : That will teach you not to rig fights! : It's not rigged! I'm just looking to get Michaels a fight, and preferably one as short as possible. : That's better, but time will expire before Stourleigh can finish the job. Round 2 : Let's get this over with. : Perfect. Official Decision: Logan Stourleigh def. Bret Michaels by TKO (Strikes) (3:36, Round 2) Heavyweight Bout: Bobby Roode [CAN] (0-6) vs. Chef Sal [HK] (2-3) Round 1-3 : Bobby Roode lost. He didn't get finished, but it was one of those grim, miserable defeats that is just joyless to watch or talk about. Chef Sal simply outwrestled Bobby, he outstruck Bobby, and he ultimately came away as the clear victor. In that sense, the best way to describe this fight was basically every Bobby Roode wrestling match of the past six or seven years, and I take no joy in that being the case, and out of the kindness of my heart, I will spare you further details. Official Decision: Chef Sal def. Bobby Roode by Uni. Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) : Averaging four strikes a round isn't great. Catchweight Bout: Keisuke Jin [TAC] (2-3) vs. Leonardo Serra [MSNT] (5-3) Round 1 : To explain things, Leonardo Serra was blocked from title contention at both Welterweight and Middleweight, so I moved him down to Lightweight, and then he got injured for the better part of a year. And now he's missed weight in this fight...by seven pounds. But, hey, maybe Jin can prove that size doesn't matter. : That didn't seem fair! : It's fine. I'll just move Serra back to Welterweight and pretend this never happened. Official Decision: Leonardo Serra def. Keisuke Jin by Submission (armbar) (2:59, Round 1) Welterweight Championship Bout: Pander Panderer [UNDEF] (6-3) vs. George Steiner [RCH] (6-2) : It is now time for the main event of the evening! Five rounds to determine the welterweight champion of the world! Introducing first, the challenger, from Gary, Indiana, George Steiner! And his opponent, he is the reigning, defending, two-time Welterweight Champion of the World, Pander Panderer! Round 1 : And here- Official Decision: George Steiner def. Alright, let's do one rank of General Mental Training and see if the Riders can stop making goof-rear end decisions. I have 3 left in the bank after that, and we're gonna just spend them all on Hongo who desperately needs a little more juice. Remaining 3 points to improve Hongo's Resilience.

SLFC 36: Danielson vs. Blue Mary : Will the next season of the Super-League ever start? Or am I doomed to do these barely-read updates forever? Only FairGame knows, and he refuses to tell me, only laughing whenever I ask. I am so tired of listening to him laugh at me for five straight minutes before he hangs up the phone. It feels bad. Heavyweight Bout: Sodom Sinze [UNDEF] (1-2) vs. Mike Haggar (1-5) Round 1 : Well, we're off and- : Oh, good. A heavyweight fight full of inconclusive striking. : To be fair, striking isn't Sinze's strong suit. : And what's Haggar's excuse? : He's not very good at the fighting aspect of fighting. : Sinze clinches. He takes Haggar to the fence, carefully works for the takedown- : Gets it! Except there's no time. Round 2 : Sinze knows the path to victory is through a takedown- : You have to set up a takedown more carefully than that. I can only hope that the Sinzes learn from this. : It does not appear that is the case, and Sinze will circle away for the rest of the round, trying to gather his wits as Haggar does not pursue. Round 3 : It's the final round. Hopefully, Sinze has figured out how to properly set up a takedown. : Dear god. : Haggar doesn't seem all that interested in following up, which is what is keeping Sinze in this fight. And alive. : Sinze tries for another takedown. : Gets it! He'll immediately try for a submission, hoping to end this fight before he takes another shuddering punch to the skull. : Whatever remains of Sinze wins! Official Decision: Sodom Sinze def. Mike Haggar by Submission (arm triangle) (3:38, Round 3) Heavyweight Bout: Jarred Kelenic (1-4) vs. Ezekiel Jackson [RBRCC] (3-3) All Rounds Official Decision: Ezekiel Jackson def. Jarred Kelenic by Uni. Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) Welterweight Bout: Homer Stille Cummings [NHC] (3-3) vs. Shiro Kazami [TAC] (2-4) Round 1 : They clinch, and Cummings controls for the better part of the round. He shoots for a takedown, but can't get it. Cummings tries again- : And he'll just grind out the clock to win the round. : This remains a winnable fight for Kazami. Round 2 : Cummings comes in for a takedown- : Everyone is walking into these counter-strikes today. Kazami tries to take initiative- : I feel like both fighters deserve to lose. Cummings will kill some clock and try for an armbar, but can't get it, and time expires. Round 3 : Cummings clinches, and he takes Kazami to the cage and- : Kills more clock. : And even more clock. The ref breaks them up eventually, and Kazami, running out of time, realizes there is only thing he can truly do here. There remains just one option, something that transcends victory or defeat, and instead will ensure that, regardless of outcome, Homer Stille Cummings will come to rue this day. : Glory to the Riders. Official Decision: Homer Stille Cummings def. Shiro Kazami by Uni. Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) Lightweight Bout: Magnus Barefoot [NHC] (0-4) vs. Joji Yuki [TAC] (1-3, 1 NC) Round 1 : Can Joji Yuki redeem his team? : RIDER PUNCH! Official Decision: Joji Yuki def. Magnus Barefoot by TKO (Strikes) (2:29, Round 1) Middleweight Bout: Avery Weedman [MSNT] (7-1) vs. Petey Williams [CAN] (3-3) Round 1 : Weedman is looking for a bounceback fight. : And instead gets pieced up. : Weedman usually takes about a round to wake up. : Maybe if he took less drugs before getting into the cage. Or more drugs. Either way, he's taking the wrong amount of drugs, and time expires. Round 2 : Round two, and Weedman is awake. : Wide awake. Official Decision: Avery Weedman def. Petey Williams by TKO (Strikes) (0:17, Round 1) Lightweight Championship Bout: Gomorrah Sinze [UNDEF] (3-0) vs. Ricky Ricks [HK] (3-2) : The following contest is the co-main event of the evening! Five rounds to determine the undisputed lightweight champion of the world! Introducing first, the challenger, from Rye, New York, he weighed in at the lightweight limit of 155 pounds, he is "Tough Steak" Ricky Ricks! And his opponent, he is the reigning, defending, undefeated lightweight champion of the world, Gomorrah Sinze! Round 1 : Sinze shoots for the takedown and- : I can't imagine he'll do that again. : Okay, we'll he definitely won't do it a third time. Because the fight's over. Official Decision: Ricky Ricks def. Gomorroah Sinze by TKO (Strikes) (1:59, Round 1) Your winner and NEW Lightweight Champion: Ricky Ricks! Middleweight Championship Bout: Bryan Danielson [RBRCC] (6-2) vs. Blue Mary [FGC] (4-1) : It is now time for the main event of the evening! Five rounds for the middleweight championship of the world! SLFC 37: Bon Jovi vs. Henderson Heavyweight Bout: Johnny Devine [CAN] (2-4) vs. Eric Young [CAN] (1-3) Round 1 : In the end, I could think of only one way to ensure that at least one Team Canada heavyweight accomplished something: have them fight each other. And Eric Young will try and take advantage by- : That is not how you do it. : Okay, I now concede that it is possible that neither of these men will accomplish anything in this fight. : They're trying! : That's debatable. Time expires. Round 2 : Okay, a new round so- : What the gently caress did I do to deserve this? Round 3 : It's the last round, so, at least, there won't be another round after this- : Young couldn't have done that in the first round? : You can't rush greatness! Official Decision: Eric Young def. Johnny Devine by TKO (Strikes) (2:29, Round 3) : Wait...do Johnny Devine's arms work? The statistics seem to indicate that he came into the fight with both of his arms literally tied behind his back. Heavyweight Bout: Gat [D-KEN] (3-4) vs. Brouck Lessner [SODAK] (2-5) Round 1 : Okay, and- : Why? : We can pretend this is a tense chess match as each fighter is carefully trying to gain the advantage. : I don't want to lie to myself. Time expires. Round 2 : Okay, let's- : Another fight where nothing happened until it all happened. That's slightly vexing. Official Decision: Gat def. Brouck Lessner by TKO (Strikes) (1:05, Round 2) Light Heavyweight: Shigeru Jo [TAC] (0-4) vs. Dankwart Rustow [NHC] (1-3) Round 1 : If Rustow can't pull this off, he's fired. : So, he's not fired. : I didn't say that. The converse of a proposition is not necessarily equivalent to the proposition itself. Official Decision: Dankwart Rustow def. Shigeru Jo by TKO (Strikes) (4:24, Round 1) : That's right folks, through three fights, the losing fighters having combined to land zero punches! We're doing it! Heavyweight Bout: Drakkhen Kennedy [D-KEN] (5-3) vs. Michael Bolton [ROCK] (4-2) Round 1 : Wait, why did I make this match up? : I've really done it this time. : I have to admit, putting a grappler with no punching power against a counter-wrestler with no aggression was not the smartest thing I ever did. : Theoretically, they are both near the top of the heavyweight rankings. : 'Theoretically' is doing a lot of heavy lifting as time expires. Round 2 : And- : You know, it's Friday, I'm tired, I'm very tired. Yoshida, heads or tails? : Tails never fails! Official Decision: Michael Bolton def. Drakkhen Kennedy by Uni. Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) Light Heavyweight Bout: Jon Moxley [RBRCC] (4-3) vs. e.e. Cummings [NHC] (5-3) Round 1 : Moxley is trying to gt himself in position for another title fight as Cummings looks to get his own crack at the title, which will be on the line later tonight. : Moxley is leading the striking here. : One thing to worry about is that while Moxley likes to brawl, he doesn't have a great chin. : Time expires, and Moxley wins the round comfortably. Round 2 Official Decision: e.e. Cummings def. Jon Moxley by TKO (Strikes) (1:41, Round 2) Heavyweight Bout: Badland Chugs Jr. [HK] (2-1) vs. Vladimir Koslov [RBRCC] (7-1) Round 1 : HulkaMatt has high hopes for Badland Chugs Jr., but will those hopes pan out? : No. The answer is no. Official Decision: Vladimir Koslov def. Badland Chugs Jr. by TKO (Strikes) (4:10, Round 1) Light Heavyweight Championship Bout: Jon Bon Jovi [ROCK] (6-0) vs. Vladislav Henderson [FITCH] (4-1) : It is now time for the main event of the evening! Five rounds to determine the light heavyweight champion of the world! Introducing first, from Kincardine, Ontario, Vladislav Henderson! And his opponent, he is the reigning, defending, undefeated light heavyweight champion of the world, Jon Bon Jovi! Round 1 : Both men are wrestlers. Who will get the other down first? : That was fast, but as long as Henderson keeps his wits, he can- : No, not like that! Henderson, you need to be super-careful! : Smasher, I don't think Vladislav Henderson wants to win this fight. : Evidently not. Official Decision: Jon Bon Jovi def. Vladislav Henderson by Submission (RNC) (3:27, Round 1) Your winner and STILL the FOURTH Light Heavyweight Champion: Jon Bon Jovi! SLFC 38: Drago vs. Sagat : Okay, let's get on with it. Welterweight Bout: Hayato Ichimonji [TAC] (2-3) vs. Hungry Joe [HK] (2-4) Round 1 : And we'll start with- : Now, Smasher, I know you think it's time for another Rider defeat, but today is the day, this very day, where the Riders finally defeat their greatest opponent: the earth itself. : And Hungry Joe will.... : Accomplish nothing. Astonishing. Time expires. Round 2 : Second round and- : Unbelievable. : Smasher, today is the day. : And Hungry Joe goes for the choke...can't get it. He goes for the choke. He can't get it again. He goes for the choke a third time, still can't get it, and you have to wonder why it is that the HulkaTeam keeps having these problems. Hungry Joe keeps looking for the choke, but time expires, and Ichimonji, against all reason, managed to spend four straight minutes defending a choke successfully. He still lost the round, though. Round 3 : Final round. Hungry Joe is up two rounds to none. Ichimonji needs a plan here- : For gently caress's sake! : Smasher, it's time. : Time for what? : What? But he...but I don't understand! I don't understand at all! Official Decision: Hayato Ichimonji def. Hungry Joe by Submission (americana) (3:53, Round 3) Light Heavyweight Bout: Vince Neil [ROCK] (3-3) vs. Marshawn Money [MSNT] (3-5) Round 1 : I'm still shaken by that last fight. Nothing makes sense anymore. : Okay. That makes sense. Official Decision: Vince Neil def. Marshawn Money by KO (Punch) (1:57, Round 1) : Wait. Hold on a second. : I know what you're thinking. It was unfair for Vince Neil to use the infamous "Schrodinger's Punch" that both hits and misses at the same time, and which exists in a state of uncertainty until it is observed. : I am a little concerned about how the gently caress Vince Neil got a knockout without landing a punch. Middleweight Bout: Stan [D-KEN] (1-6) vs. Axl Rose [ROCK] (1-4) Round 1 : Stan's plan is to avoid getting hit. : Stan's problem is that he is both a striker and has a chin made of glass, so any strike that lands has a very good chance of knocking him out. : Stan weathers the storm, but it's clear that one mistake could one too many, but Stan will win the round, and, more importantly, survive the round. Round 2 : Round two and- : Stan tried. Official Decision: Axl Rose def. Stan by TKO (Strikes) (3:16, Round 2) Lightweight Bout: Horace Pippin [NHC] (3-1) vs. Sakura Kasugano [FGC] (2-2) Round 1 : The fight starts. It's classic grappler vs. striker contest and- : Grappling will take an early lead. Pippin ends up in Sakura's guard. He tries to pass. He fails. He tries again. He fails. He tries again. He fails. He tries again. He fails. The round mercifully ends. Round 2 : The second round starts and- : Oh, great. : Pippin can get Sakura down, but can't get past her guard. : He'll try, and keep trying, but the ref will eventually stand them up due to inactivity. : A punishing combo from Sakura to finish the round. Does that offset the mild control that Pippin had for most of the round? Sakura is probably hoping for a finish next round to avoid finding out. Round 3 : Final round. : Sakura pieces Pippin up, but Pippin will circle away, and he'll manage to hold on until the end of the round, and he'll let the judges sort it out! Official Decision: Horace Pippin def. Sakura Kasugano by Split Decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) Welterweight Bout: Terry O'Rae [FITCH] (4-2) vs. Jean-Claude Boeuf [FITCH] (4-3) Round 1 : Behold! A new play in three acts! Round 2 Round 3 : I call it: The Tragical History of the men WHO COULD NOT loving GET MOUNT BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN FITCHED TO THEIR loving CORE! Official Decision: Terry O'Rae def. Jean-Claude Boeuf by Uni. Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) Heavyweight Bout: Slab [FITCH] (4-2) vs. Juan Villa [RCH] (4-3) Round 1 : Villa plows forward- : He'll shoot for the takedown, and fail to get it. He tries again and again. Finally, Slab clinches and takes Villa to the fence- : Or does he? : Villa is not a fighter who can be easily controlled. Or controlled at all, really. : Villa looks for the trip takedown! : Gets it! An emphatic end to the round for Villa, and it will be back to the drawing board for Slab. Round 2 : Slab fends off some more takedown attempts from Villa, and Slab will eventually clinch Villa and take him to the fence. He will just try and hold Villa against the fence this time. He knows that Villa is the more explosive fighter, and that Slab's path to victory is going to come through control. : It's not exciting, but it doesn't seem like Slab has much better options. : As the round comes to an end, Villa breaks free! He goes for a trip takedown and- : Gets it as time expires. Slab drags himself back to his corner, and is looking for some better way to handle Juan Villa. Round 3 : Round three, it's likely the fight is scored 1-1, but Slab can't be happy with his performance so far. : He's had trouble controlling Villa in the clinch, and his other option to try and ice Villa is to take him down, but Villa is so dangerous from the bottom. : Looks like Slab will risk it! He shoots for the takedown- : Gets it! : This is a much more dangerous position for Slab than Villa. Slab is in Villa's guard, and that is a place he can't afford to be. : Villa shoots his legs up! He's got them around Slab's arm and neck! : Slab is in real trouble! He has to stay calm or- : Villa does it! He gets the choke from the bottom! Official Decision: Juan Villa def. Slab by Submission (triangle choke) (2:44, Round 3) Heavyweight Championship Bout: FS Drago [MSNT] (5-1) vs. Sagat [FGC] (7-2) : It is now time for the main event of the evening! Five rounds in the heavyweight division to determine the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world! Introducing first, from Shadaloo, he is the former heavyweight champion of the world, Sagat! And his opponent, he is the reigning, defending, undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, FS Drago! SLFC 39: Steiner vs. Serra : The Yuki/Himaru fight is off due to injury. We will proceed with just six fights. Which is great. Less work for me. Welterweight Bout: Walter Siegmeister [NHC] (0-0) vs. Marty McSorley [FITCH] (2-5) Round 1 : Siegmeister shoots in for a takedown- : Gets nothing. Tries again. : Still gets nothing. McSorley shoots for a takedown- : Gets it. : Not exactly how Siegmeister planned things to go. : Siegmeister keeps McSorley in guard. He raises his legs! He's going for the triangle- : POWERBOMB BY MCSORLEY! : That move was taught to him by Kevin Nash! : And time will expire before McSorley can capitalize. Round 2 : Round two and- : McSorley also learned his technical wrestling skills from Kevin Nash. : The ways of Nash are mysterious. : Time will run out. Round 3 : Final round! : McSorley loses! : For a guy who shoots a lot of takedowns, he's really not that good when it goes to the mat. Official Decision: Walter Siegmeister def. Marty McSorley by TKO (Strikes) (3:21, Round 3) Heavyweight Bout: STORG [D-KEN] (4-5) vs. Bobby Roode [CAN] (0-7) Round 1 : Roode could probably use a win here. He'll shoot for the takedown. : Good god. How slow is your takedown if Storg, the biggest load that ever was, can sidestep it? He'll try again! : Time expires, thankfully. Round 2 : Round two now, and- : I'm worried that, one of these days, Roode is just going to die. Official Decision: Storg def. Bobby Roode by TKO (Strikes) (0:23, Round 2) Middleweight Bout: Reviewbrah Jones [HK] (0-0) vs. Herman McNally [RCH] (1-4) Round 1 : Hey, look at Reviewbrah Jones over here, he's shooting for the takedown- : Doesn't get it. : The important thing is that he tried. : And now he'll try again. : You're killing me, Reviewbrah Jones. Jones will grab McNally and pull him into the clinch. He goes for the slam and- : The suuuuuuuuuuuuperslam! But time will expire before he does anything with it. Round 2 : Will Reviewbrah Jones go for another takedown here? : He will! And he methodically moves his way past side control and into mount. He's got two minutes to work with. Can McNally possibly survive to see the end of the round? : I guess not. Official Decision: Reviewbrah Jones def. Herman McNally by TKO (Strikes) (4:03, Round 2) Lightweight Bout: D.B. Sweeney [NHC] (0-0) vs. JR Leap [UNDEF] (4-3) Round 1 : Now, I don't know a lot about D.B. Sweeney, but- : I suppose I'll get to know him better by hearing his family eulogize him at his funeral at this rate. : The good news is that JR Leap is tired now. The problem is that Sweeney tired her out by taking an incredible amount of punishment. Round 2 : Sweeney will almost immediately clinch. He's looking to avoid taking more damage here. He gets JR Leap to the fence and looks for the trip takedown- : Gets it. And he'll take his time methodically get past guard, into side control. He'll take the back- : So close. Round 3 : It's the final round. It's pretty clearly one round apiece, so whoever wins this round, whether by finish or points, is getting the victory. : Even if Sweeney does get the win, though, you wonder how much this fight has taken out of him. Sweeney immediately clinches and tries for a takedown- : He gets it. : This is a desperation moment for both fighters. Sweeney has probably taken too much damage to hold this position for long, but JR Leap is too tired to do anything herself. : Sweeney goes for the arm triangle- : He gets it! Fight over! Official Decision: D.B. Sweeney def. JR Leap by Submission (arm triangle) (2:29, Round 3) Openweight Bout: Clevin Dark [SODAK] (6-3) vs. William Regal [RBRCC] (3-3) Round 1 : It's time for a very special openweight fight as I try and figure out what to do with Clevin Dark. Regal closes distance quickly, he grabs the clinch- : The probleme that Dark is going to have if he moves to heavyweight is that his wrestling isn't that strong, and he can get ragdolled by the larger fighters. : Regal will- : Not do much. Dark will try to scramble, but Regal ends up in side control. Regal takes the back, he's looking for the choke, he gets both hooks in but time expires before he can finish the job. Round 2 : And Dark begins the round by performing a ritual dance to summon the eldritch power of the Backfist de la Muerte! : Not the forbidden strike! : The very one! : William Regal is no more! Official Decision: Clevin Dark def. William Regal by KO (BACKFIST OF DEATH) (1:02, Round 2) Welterweight Championship Bout: George Steiner [RCH] (7-2) vs. Leonardo Serra [MSNT] (6-3) : It is now time for the main event of the evening! Five rounds to determine the welterweight champion of the world! Introducing first, the challenger, from the Jersey Shore, he is the former welterweight champion, Leonardo Serra! And his opponent, from Gary, Indiana, he is the reigning, defending Welterweight Champion of the World, George Steiner! Round 1 : Steiner bulldozes forward to start the fight. He grabs Serra and takes him to the fence- : Stourleigh was able to beat Serra by grinding him down, Steiner may be looking to do the same. : Steiner unleashes an elbow right to Serra's head and- : Oh, wow. : Did Serra's eye just pop out? Oh, no! : The ref immediately is going to call for the doctor. Serra is somehow standing, but his eye is not exactly securely mounted to his head, and I'm not sure he could, or should, fight like that. : There's so much blood, and there's the eye and, oh no. : The doctor is calling the fight. There is no way that Serra can continue like this. And it was a legal blow, so that will go down as a stoppage victory for Steiner. Official Decision: George Steiner def. SLFC 40: Danielson vs. Nanaimo 2 : Why do I do these on Fridays? I don't want to do anything on Fridays! By the way, if anyone wants to have a fighter get a quick title shot, I suggest making a middleweight, given that the division is almost devoid of contenders. Welterweight Bout: Bret Michaels [ROCK] (0-3) vs. Hongo Takeshi [TAC] (0-7) Round 1 : Someone has to win and- : Bret Michaels doesn't really look like he wants to win this fight. : Fighters can't be good at everything, Smasher! Bret Michaels is good at a lot of things! Like drinking, and snorting coke, and injecting heroin, but those skills don't always have a one-to-one crossover with MMA techniques! : And Michaels will get the poo poo kicked out of him until time expires. Round 2 : Round two and- : You know, far be it from me to tell Bret Michaels what to do, but he can probably grab a takedown and- : Wait, wait, no. I meant for Michaels to get a takedown. A rider can't get a takedown. It just can't be done. : There's no rule against it! Then again, I guess there's also not a rule against trying to eat the sun. But you probably shouldn't try and eat the sun. It's very warm. : And Takeshi will spam takedowns for the rest of the round. Brilliant. Round 3 : Round three and...nothing happens. No one lands anything, nothing is accomplished. It is just five minutes of all of our lives gone forever, which is poignant in one way, and deeply frustrating in every other way. Official Decision: Hongo Takeshi def. Bret Michaels by Uni. Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) : Hey, Michaels! If you're only going to land 8% of your strikes, maybe try a loving takedown! Middleweight Bout: Petey Williams [CAN] (3-4) vs. Kaphwan Kim [FGC] (2-3) Round 1 : A traditional grappler vs. striker matchup here. : Kim looking to work on Williams' legs. : If Kim goes down, he's probably not getting up, so probably smart. Mostly striking, though Kim does good work to keep out of Williams' grapple range. : That is definitely not what Williams is looking to see. Kim will continue to dance out of range until time expires. Round 2 : Second round and- : Kim was taken down, and did not get back up. Official Decision: Petey Williams def. Kaphwan Kim by Submission (americana) (3:39, Round 2) Welterweight Bout: Logan Stourleigh [SODAK] (7-2) vs. Homer Stille Cummings [NHC] (4-3) Round 1 : Stourleigh looking to get back on track here. : That would be one way to do it. Cummings will try and flip things around and take Stourleigh down with a judo throw- : Not happening. : If Cummings' plan is to take Stourleigh down, he needs a new plan. : Oh. It is his plan. : Time expires, and we could be in for one here. Round 2 : Second round! : Cummings is standing up to Stourleigh's strikes, but he's not going to win a lot of points just by not dying. : That's not helping matters either. : Cummings may want to try and strike, just because nothing else is working. : We'll see next round. Round 3 : With Cummings down two rounds to none, he needs to figure out- : DO ANYTHING ELSE, GOD drat IT! : Okay, anything else besides just bleeding. : Fine. He did it. Except there's no time left, and he already lost two rounds so... Official Decision: Logan Stourleigh def. Homer Stille Cummings by Uni. Decision (29-28, 30-27, 29-28) Lightweight Bout: Gomorrah Sinze [UNDEF] (3-1) vs. Joji Yuki [TAC] (2-3, 1 NC) Round 1 : I- : Nevermind. Official Decision: Gomorrah Sinze def. Joji Yuki by KO (Flying Knee) (0:22, Round 1) Heavyweight Bout: Sodom Sinze [UNDEF] (2-2) vs. Chef Sal [HK] (3-3) Round 1 : Sinze looking to start things off with a takedown- : Gets it! Sal responds with a guillotine attempt from guard- : And now he's on top! He'll get mount! But- : Both men back to their feet. Sinze comes in for another takedown- : A reversal of fortune! Sinze goes for the triangle from the bottom! : Spin out from Sal, and he'll mount Sinze again! He sets up an armbar! : And we'll go to a second round. : It's hard to tell if these guys are very good at wrestling or very bad. Round 2 : Second round, and Sal will shoot in for the takedown- : That was fast. Official Decision: Chef Sal def. Sodom Sinze by submission (armbar) (2:18, Round 2) Lightweight Championship Bout: Ricky Ricks [HK] (4-2) vs. Okie Dokie [D-KEN] (6-1) : It is now time for the co-main event of the evening! Five rounds to determine the undisputed lightweight champion of the world! Introducing first, the challenger, he is the former lightweight champion, Okie Dokie! And his opponent, he is the reigning, defending lightweight champion of the world, Ricky Ricks! Round 1 : Neither man exactly known for caution here- : Ricky Ricks is a dangerous man, to himself and everyone else. I want to be his friend, but I'm scared. : Okie is going to try and take Ricks down, to try and contain the madness- : Yeah, he's not moving, that will be the end of that. Official Decision: Ricky Ricks def. Okie Dokie by TKO (Strikes) (1:16, Round 1) Your winner and STILL the THIRD Lightweight Champion: Ricky Ricks! Middleweight Championship Bout: Bryan Danielson [RBRCC] (7-2) vs. Basher Nanaimo [FITCH] (5-3) : The following contest is the main event of the evening! Five rounds to determine the middleweight champion of the world! Introducing first, the challenger, from Nanaimo, British Columbia, America Jr., Basher Nanaimo! And his opponent, he is the reigning, defending, Middleweight Champion of the World, Bryan Danielson! Round 1 : A few strikes as both fighters feel each other out. Danielson will shoot in for the takedown- : Gets it. Danielson will try and pass guard. He can't do it, so he's content to run out the clock and let Nanaimo bear his weight for the remainder of the round. : It's a good plan, Nanaimo is a good enough wrestler that Danielson risks more moving too quickly than waiting a few rounds when Nanaimo has been softened up. Round 2 : Second round. Danielson in for the takedown- : Danielson is taking his time now. He will slowly move into side control as he works to get into a better position. : It may not be the most exciting thing, but working methodically here is the right way to go. Nanaimo doesn't seem to be able to get up on his own, so he's going to need Danielson to make a mistake, so Danielson is just not going to make that mistake. : Danielson gets into mount, and he pounds on Nanaimo to end the round. Round 3 : Nanaimo is looking a bit worse for the wear to begin Round Three. : That he didn't need. : That's that. : Nanaimo needed to keep the fight standing, and he couldn't. Official Decision: Bryan Danielson def. Basher Nanaimo by TKO (Strikes) (4:29, Round 3) Your winner and STILL the SECOND Middleweight Champion: Bryan Danielson! SLFC 41: Bon Jovi vs. Weedman : A quick note. The next couple of cards may be a bit lighter than usual, if only because all of the fighters that were around at the beginning of the game all have their contracts coming due at the same time, and I'll need to resign them. Light Heavyweight Bout: Dankwart Rustow [NHC] (2-3) vs. Marshawn Money [MSNT] (3-6) Round 1 : Something must grow from this wretched garden. : Both guys are trying! : It's a subtle form of trying! : Rustow seems to be doing slightly better at the striking, though that is a very relative term. Time will expire. Round 2 : Please, let someone do something. : A literal Flair flop! : We're free! Official Decision: Dankwart Rustow def. Marshawn Money by TKO (Strikes) (0:56, Round 2) Welterweight Bout: Pander Panderer [UNDEF] (6-4) vs. Shiro Kazami [TAC] (2-5) Round 1 : Okay, and- : Wait, Smasher, did you make this fight to give Pander an easy win? : Obviously. : But Smasher, Pander is only a striker, and striking is the one battle that Riders can consistently win. : Balderdash! : Oh, I hosed this bit of matchmaking up, didn't I? But Pander survives! Kazami dives down to finish, but Pander manages to grab a hold of him and- : Kicking someone in the ribs with your bare foot seems like a great way to break your foot. : Both men get back to their feet. They clinch and- : Eerie. Time expires. Round 2 : Kazami looks to clinch again and- : Oh, gently caress, Pander has no idea what do here. Well, maybe he'll figure it out next round! Round 3 : Oh, gently caress, he's not going to figure it out as time ticks away. : The Riders did it! They brought Pander to justice! : It's not over yet! : gently caress. Time expires. Official Decision: Shiro Kazami def. Pander Panderer by Uni. Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) Lightweight Bout: Magnus Barefoot [NHC] (0-5) vs. Hyperion Royale [MSNT] (2-3) Round 1 : Okay, let's see some- : So, it's a striking battle, and neither of these fighters has any power? : If you hit someone in the right spot, it doesn't matter how much power you have. : Okay, but neither is an accurate striker, either. Time expires. Round 2 : Maybe- : God help me. : Royale does seem to marginally be winning the striking battle. : Magnus might be better off as a featherweight. : We barely have enough fighters for the divisions we have. I'm not adding featherweights. Round 3 : Final round- : And it cannot be final enough. : 'Big Strike' is overselling just a bit. Time finally runs out. Official Decision: Hyperion Royale def. Magnus Barefoot by Uni. Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) Heavyweight Bout: Badland Chugs Jr. [HK] (2-2) vs. Brouck Lessner [SODAK] (2-6) Round 1 : If Chugs loses, he's toast. : Huh. I'm not sure how I feel about an outcome that gives HulkaMatt that much joy. Official Decision: Badland Chugs Jr. def. Brouck Lessner by KO (Backfist) (0:28, Round 1) Heavyweight Bout: Michael Bolton [ROCK] (5-2) vs. Vladimir Koslov [RBRCC] (8-1) Round 1 : Both men looking for a title shot against the winner of Villa vs. Drago, and the winner probably gets it. Still, I wouldn't mind seeing some fireworks- : Come on. I mean, I know it's effective for Koslov, but man. : Maybe Bolton has an answer. : Oh. Good. One of these fights. Round 2 : Round two- : -is a round without anything happening. Round 3 : Round three and- : How about that. Bolton is actually adjusting his tactics. Of course, at this point, he'll need a finish. : Closer. : Closer. : Got 'em! Bolton mounts the downed Koslov! He starts unloading! But before he can get the finish, time expires! He loses! He is a loser! Michael Bolton is a losing loser! Official Decision: Vladimir Koslov def. Michael Bolton by Uni. Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) Light Heavyweight Bout: Jon Moxley [RBRCC] (4-4) vs. Tyson Dux [CAN] (3-2) Round 1 : Both men are strikers, sort of- : Dux has run hot and cold in his career. Tougher opponents seem to bring out the worst in him. : Throughout this round, Dux has found it increasingly harder to mount any offense, as he is afraid of the counter. It's a problem, and he'll think on it as we head into the break. Round 2 : Round two and- : It's an improvement, at least. : It's a stalemate as Dux tries to figure out how to land a strike without eating a counter. : That is not how one does it, and time expires. Round 3 : Round three, and Yoshida, you were listening into Dux's corner. : That's right. Dux's coaches were pointing out that Mox recently lost a match to Orange Cassidy in wrestling, and therefore Dux should look into using Orange's moves to possibly get past Mox's countering ability. : Wait, hold on, Mox won the match against Orange Cassidy, so- : Okay, Dux effectively jumped face first into a jab. That's, yeah. Official Decision: Jon Moxley def. Tyson Dux by KO (Punch) (1:51, Round 3) Light Heavyweight Championship Bout: Jon Bon Jovi [ROCK] (7-0) vs. Avery Weedman [MSNT] (8-1) : It is now time for the main event of the evening! Five rounds to determine the Light Heavyweight Champion of the World! Introducing first, the challenger, he is the former Middleweight Champion, Avery Weedman! And his opponent, he is the reigning, defending, undefeated Light Heavyweight Champion of the World, Jon Bon Jovi! Round 1 : Weedman slow to start, and Bon Jovi is coming in close- : Weedman seems awfully confident in his grappling skills- : A little too much so. : That is a terrible place for a cut. It probably isn't going to stop the fight now, but it's a five-round fight, and I can't imagine that it won't open up too much at some point. Weedman needs to win this fight sooner rather than later. : Weedman reverses the position! But the ref calls a pause to have a doctor take a look at the cut! The doctor lets the fight go on- : That's a mistake by the ref, though a very common one. When a fight stops like that, for a medical check, you are supposed to put the fighters back in the position they were in before, and Weedman had Bon Jovi against the fence. : Weedman has a sense of urgency- : Time expires before Weedman can press his advantage, though. Round 2 : Second round. Weedman is a slow starter, but he tends to be fully up to speed by the second round- : Down goes Bon Jovi! Weedman looking for the quick finish, but Bon Jovi is able to collect himself! Weedman slams himself down on Bon Jovi, and takes mount! : Weedman wins! He becomes the first fighter in SLMMA history to win titles at two different weight classes! Official Decision: Avery Weedman def. Jon Bon Jovi by TKO (2:06, Round 2) Your winner and NEW Light Heavyweight Champion: Avery Weedman! I think Michael Bolton's a fatty fat fat. When he sits around the house, he sits AROUND the house! it's time for him to go on a diet to get down around 200 lbs with a cutdown weight of 195. Bon Jovi can use a diet too, noticed a bit of a love handle starting to form in the early part of the first round. Let's get him down to 180 lbs with a cutdown weight of 175. I imagine any weight loss/gain would take the fighters out of action for a bit? Armitage fucked around with this message at 00:23 on Oct 24, 2023 |
