If you google search "eradication of Hamas would require", you get a lot of results that show it in the preview. But if you click through on most of them, that phrase is not to be found.

These still have the paragraph

quote:

Members of the Israeli security and political establishment told the U.S. diplomats that the eradication of Hamas would require methods used in the defeat of the Axis powers in World War II. One official said he and others were told by Israeli counterparts that “a lot of innocent Germans died in WWII” and were reminded of Japanese civilian deaths from the U.S. atomic bombs. Israeli officials have publicly made similar comparisons.

SAM SYRIA 🇸🇾 posted:

Why are Syria and Hezbollah an essential and pivotal part of the current battle in Gaza and why are we in Syria concerned with any war inside occupied Palestine:

We can take the July 2006 war as a starting point. The results of the 2006 war changed the balance of power in the conflict with the Israeli enemy and Hezbollah imposed itself as a force and a regional player in the region.

"Israel's" target in the July War was the head of Hezbollah, and it failed because of the party's structure, combat doctrine, deliberate work, and minds that excelled at making plans and managing the war at its various levels.... But strategically, there is another important reason, which is Syria's role in the war and what it represents for the party.

Syria represents the party's back, its strategic depth, and a major supply and support artery. The Israelis understood that overthrowing Hezbollah begins with the overthrow of the regime in Syria and beyond that with the destruction of the Syrian state as an entity. Syria's role in the July War is a fundamental reason for the war against it in 2011.

What began in 2011 in Syria was a proxy war on behalf of “Israel” and the Americans, in which they created the Syrian revolution to play a role whose mission was to overthrow the state and ensure the security of “Israel.” They tried, under the pressure of fire, to pressure President Assad to accept a settlement in which he would give them the head of Hezbollah, and they failed.

The sequel to what happened is known to everyone, and the war project on Syria is still ongoing and has not ended, and we have passed many stages of it and are perhaps approaching its end, but what is happening in Gaza now, why is it considered dangerous and affects Syria and Hezbollah, and why are they a pivotal party in the current battle?

The Israeli and American goal now is either to annihilate Gaza, occupy it, and control it, or to displace its people and create a new catastrophe, as in the year 1948. What is common between the two paths is to eliminate the resistance in Gaza, which means an almost fatal blow to the Palestinian cause.

Assuming that the enemy succeeds in achieving what it wants in Gaza and ends the resistance, in order for the enemy to fully guarantee its security, it must get rid of Hezbollah and the Syrian state. Here we return to what began in 2011. The first step to eliminating Hezbollah begins with overthrowing the Syrian state.

“Israel” and America have military arms in Syria, whether in Idlib, eastern Syria, Al-Tanf, or southern Syria. The plan to revive, support, and arm these people will return, as happened at the beginning of the war, but often with direct “American-Israeli” military intervention, as is the case with “SDF” in eastern Syria.

They have well-known militias in Lebanon from the Lahad Army, and they will play a direct and indirect military role against Hezbollah. Perhaps the American and Israeli forces will move at the same time in Syria and Lebanon at the same time if they succeed in achieving their goal in Gaza.

If the Israelis and Americans succeed in Gaza, this will mean that our turn is coming and the battle will move directly to Damascus and Beirut. The fall of Gaza is a red line for the axis of resistance because it means our fall and the beginning of an attempt to fall of Damascus, Beirut, Baghdad, Tehran and Cairo, and what began in Gaza must end in Damascus and Beirut.
(from t.me/SAM_Syria0/7716, via tgsa)

tl;dr Syria and Hezbollah will get dragged in if the Israelis move into Gaza in force.

- He's gonna ask Congress for $100B of military aid tomorrow
- He mentioned the 6-year old murdered by his landlord and said some bullshit about how America doesn't tolerate hate

Also there's bunch of money for the border in the bill, apparently?

The administration has informed lawmakers it plans to seek $14 billion for border security in its new funding package, a marked increase from the previous ask, according to a source familiar.

Israel is never going to destroy Hamas, which they claim their objective to be, with airstrikes alone. So they either accept Hamas' continued existence or move forward with the ground invasion

Eventually Israel will run out of air munitions, which will be long before they've flattened Gaza entirely. At that point they'd have to lean fully on the blockade to starve out the population. But in that time they'd give Hamas an opening to attack again (which they have every loving right to do, to be clear)
