i really struggle waking up after melatonin or benadryl or anything like that, it’s an absolute last resort for me. i end up needing a ton of coffee the next day just to function, unlike most other days where i need a ton of coffee just to function

thinking more about this, off work coffee is the best coffee. I usually do drip during the week because it’s fast to make. however, when not working there are so many options! go to your favorite coffee place! make a moka pot! enjoy a homemade pour over! the only limit to coffee is YOU when you’re off work!

put some morning drip leftovers in the fridge. the iced coffee will give me energy and awareness to make a moka pot or fiddly aeropress or a bripe if I feel like doing something dumb

The new family budget has, if not less, then at least different and cheaper coffee in it. Suddenly I'm in that scene with math equations flying around my head scene but it's just "poison pill amendment" "federal budget" and "government shutdown"
