That specific guy with the daft camera angle (Francis Bourgeois) has 3M followers on tiktok, modelling campaigns with Gucci, Paul Smith, and North Face, and went trainspotting with a Jonas Brother. He's very successful and it's all built on silly train videos. In fairness he doesn't just do trains. He also likes scooters.

This is anecdotal from a friend who does like trains, but almost certainly isn't on the spectrum (or learned enough coping mechanisms very early on that no one could tell from childhood) that some train museums have autism awareness pamphlets for I think it's much less common in America just because we largely have a completely poo poo rail infrastructure compared to most of Europe and Asia. Does Chicago have "El Spotters?" edit: I can't type well Air Skwirl has a new favorite as of 08:31 on Oct 24, 2023 |

Nothing wrong with having a hobby, as long as it isn't hurting anyone. Trainspotting is fine, at least it gets you outside.

And presumably there's less overlap between railways and places where people can sit with their binoculars, a notebook, and a thermos of coffee.
