You can't stop what's coming
Brandon Miller had another up and down game but his shooting basically won things for Charlotte last night, which is nice. First shot in particular is nasty:

It's going to be a frustrating year because he's been mostly useless with the ball in his hands at this point but the good stuff is good

Both Pacers starting and backup PG had double doubles and the team scored 143 points.

They're gonna run teams out of the building and their depth is pretty nuts.

I'm a Pacers believer though, just felt that has to be acknowledged.

And how about the Magic? Blowing out the "Ready to stop losing" Rockets by 30.

I'm not saying they're gonna win 50 games, but they're gonna get some wins just based on how fast they play and their depth. If a team is tired and doesn't have any legs they're gonna be in for a bad time

If the Bulls don't beat the Raptors this season is toast.

Trade everyone. Evict the Bulls from the UC.

Make them share a stadium with DePaul or Northwestern.

I can't wait til Ben is off that max contract and gets signed to a more reasonable deal on a contending team, as like a defensive stopper and super utility connector.

Knicks/Celtics was a great game ruined by the Knicks not being able to hit a single loving free throw by god get Randle off the team

Also he made Kristaps look even better (whom was great, but he was against paper mache)

Dallas Mavericks: Generations

Only five players in NBA history have ever averaged 20/5/5 their rookie year and they’re all legends:

Lebron James
Michael Jordan
Oscar Robertson
Luke Doncic
Tyreke Evans

Tyreke Evans was a legend in nba 2k if you were good at the dribbling controls.

I really did think his career would go better after his rookie year.

Even if Lively is average, he is probably the best center drafted by Dallas in my lifetime. It’s been rough.

Lively out-playing Wemby is funny and I don't think anyone thinks he'll have a better career, but so far in pre-season and in game 1 Lively looks pretty good! Like right now he's probably more of an x factor off the bench as I am not sure I'd trust 30 minutes of defense every single game, but he's got energy and not afraid of doing things and doesn't seem bothered by NBA speed and athleticism which are all the most important things you reasonably can hope for out of a 19 year old center.

Be optimistic about him.

16/10 from a rookie center in his first game is great by itself but the thing that has me in full irrational exuberance mode about Lively was all the tipouts and rim contests and just general energy. I know +/- isn't usually a super great metric for all kinds of reasons but this was one of those games where a guy was +20 and you felt every bit of it, even when he wasn't dunking and poo poo he was winning the Mavs possessions they had no business winning. I'm not expecting 16/10 every night but just having a guy who wins you some messy possessions over the course the game and gives Luka and Kyrie a chance to close would go so far towards helping the Mavs not completely suck.

Tried to look up the stats for ayton on my own but i'd have to shell out for stathead pro or whatever to see who exactly put up 4 points and 3 turnovers in their debut for the blazers.
