In terms of genociding everyone in gaza theres no reason to send in teh troops when starving them will do the job. I think part of the reason that opinion in israel is turning away from an immediate ground invasion is that the israeli public realizes they can finally solve the palestinian problem without needing to send in ground troops.

I just can't imagine Hamas is just going to let Israel move back to the status quo (but significantly worse) after destroying half of Gaza, it would undermine their entire political project. They have to continue to goad the IDF into battle or they're just going to lose, and I don't think Israel can accept a state of constant skirmishing and incursions without response. Something has to give.

The US takes a sore loser approach to foreign policy. Countries that either successfully overthrow US clients or successfully resist US attempts to overthrow their own governments become subject to decades of sanctions and other forms of sabotage. This continues long past any point window of opportunity for the US to succeed in regime change. Even recent history has numerous examples: Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Syria, NK, Iran, etc.

Of course often they're just holding out hope for another opportunity to subject these countries to arise. After all it usually doesn't hurt the US directly to keep these countries under sanction, though the emergence of alternatives like China is making that strategy increasingly untenable.

If actors in surrounding nations really want to hurt Israel all they have to do is negatively affect their incoming energy supply, maybe damage or destroy the desalination plants.

I don't see obviously military actions happening but asymmetric? Possibly.

The fact anyone motivated can now field a drone army with a punch means the old ways of expensive fortress doctrine may no longer be viable.

burger brained people are people who are entirely saturated with american culture and thinks its the tits. Israel, as well as large parts of Europe, are entirely burger brained to the point where they actively look at other cultures as evil due to burger culture, ie marvel movies, band of brothers, disney(think aladdin, jafar being evil and darker shade skin with a green glowing orb), hurt locker, zero dark thirty, etc are an accurate depiction of reality. being burger brained makes them entirely discount nuances of other cultures so the fake recording is obviously fake because they simply lack the ability to produce a realistic fake due to their burger brain
