I love watching Steve1989, but his idea of what tastes good is extremely uh, unique. Like he's getting into the tuchanka and stuff, but it's basically beef boiled in fat with some spices. It's not really exactly some culinary standout, even by the low standards of Russian rations in general.

That�s not entirely correct for Flanders, at least. You have three kinds of fraternities at universities:
- attached to the faculty, eg the law students association or engineering students association etc. These are popular and have low barriers of entry, sign charters with the universities, and generally reflect the student body quite well (esp as regards male/female split)
- attached to specific regions. These are very nativist and usually split along gender lines (eg having a separate frat or sorority for male and female students of East Flanders). These are small and usually quite elitist (only open to the rich kids of bourgeois types from those regions, for example). The vast majority of students think these guys and gals are trashy assholes and every few years they get in the media because they instigated fights or wounded/killed a new member in a hazing ritual.
- fraternities or sororities linked to a specific activity. These are more akin to clubs. Most relate to sports or dorky activities like chess, model united nations or politics. Thierry Bidet here was invited by one of them, for conservative politics which feed right into the far-right pipeline, and they are trashy turbo dorks according to everybody else.

From an MRE trader, probably. There's a bunch of people specializing in obtaining and selling rations from all over the world, and getting Russian poo poo has been extremely easy for a long time now. "The best Russian gear is on European airsofters" isn't just a meme, it's a fact. For several years you could just buy grand new Russian uniforms and equipment from any number of places for very reasonable prices. Some poor fed up prison guard selling a a couple of pallets of prison rations isn't in any way unbelievable. Except for the part about Russia having pallets.

He's probably on some list of Russia's Mortal Enemies, but I don't see why the US government would give a poo poo.
