The vast majority of them are about either drug addiction or getting ripped off by management. I'm not a Bernstein expert but it seems like there's a story to tell about him that should be more interesting than Elvis or Elton John.

Yeah based on those two alone I'm watching it, and the trailer's fun (even if that's literally a 30-years-old-this-month Simpsons gag at the end). And the rest of the cast looks good, including the lead from the 'Demon 79' episode of Black Mirror.

yeah we were celebrating yesterday. When I got to Universal they told me that we needed to get 30m internationally total. Got that in like a day. Job feels a little more secure post-Exorcist failing. It's a fan service movie for sure and not that scary or particularly great but it gets ALL the details from the games right and their stupid huge amount of lore and the fans showed up. After a screening an exec said the kids might not go to the theaters if it gets bad reviews and I mentioned all the adults telling me that Gremlins wasn't a good movie and you couldn't keep me out of that theater when it came out. Gremlins was on TBS this morning, it's a sign.

Exorcist box office is actually fine if you consider it to just be a horror movie, and not deluding ourselves into thinking that it is some kind of elevated horror akin to the 1973 original, especially if you can't mention the original, use the same font, or even use purple in your advertising. It's made like 110 globally and that should have been the target all along. In half my territories they were complaining about the print and refusing to run our spots. In the football thread goons who have young children were yelling at me because their kids were terrified and why were we running those during football games. I feel like it pissed people off more than it scared them.

That Apes film has two major positive things going for it: - Apes talking a lot - Apes in clothes Otherwise, looks like it maintains the vibe of the previous trilogy, which is a great thing. I'm in.
