Let me use this thread to share a couple of PSA's about drowning: Yes, you can drown in almost any amount of water - any amount sufficient to cover your airways. But more to the point, people who drown while swimming do not do so like they show on TV and movies, which show people thrashing about and yelling and maybe calling for help. No, actual drowning is often a quick and silent event, where the person takes on water, goes under, and does not struggle or make much noise or commotion. That's why if you're watching someone swim who needs to be monitored, keep a closer eye than you might normally, thinking you'd hear first if there was any trouble. Thank you.

I liked how he promoted Fallout: New Vegas even if I personally think someone else would have done a better job at voice acting. It was clear that he loved the Fallout series as much as I do, I think we could have been friends. Now to go look at his history and see how he Milkshake Ducked it all up.

Every kid I knew watched it so I tried it and it was fine, especially in the mid to late-ish 90s when I was a self-loathing, self-harming queer kid who didn't know that you could be queer without getting ignited by the christian god. Looking back at it, it's a trashy show where a bunch of 20-something white people made a shitload of money. I don't think I'd like it in 2023. But it was made to be a throwaway money-grab sitcom, so I'm not supposed to like it in 2023. it sucks that this guy got laced into a lot of addiction poo poo because of an injury and it destroyed his body and he died.

I’ll also give him credit for being able to make the show while seemingly at the height of some of his addictions? Sure I guess his weight fluctuated, but keeping an extremely high-profile job while battling addictions and the chaos they can bring cannot be easy. I’ve seen people come completely off the rails from seemingly less severe substance abuse issues. I hope it wasn’t a situation where he wanted to quit the show and focus on himself but he felt overwhelming pressure from the rest of the people involved to not mess it up for them.
