WEEK 9 The MONSTERS theme in Week 8 certainly did not disappoint, with five out of ten players entering themed entries and all five walking away with bonus points! None more so than totally losing my mime, whose astute monster selections left the victims with no chance and netted them a cool 80 bonus points on top of the 40 points awarded for finishing fifth. Leperflesh joined totally losing my mime in having a furious victim-destroying monster list, earning 40 points in the process; while Jared Goff was just too slippery this week for the monsters from Kevino07, Acebuckeye13 and seiferguy (Garappolo was certainly easy pickings by comparison). On the non-themed side of things, Arnold Layne tops the table with an excellent score of 993 - just one yard short of the best score so far this season (Okibi, week 6). Speaking of, Okibi's score of 980 was good enough for second place this week, followed by bobjr on 921. With so many bonus points on offer it's no surprise to see the overall standings shaken up after this week. Okibi and Acebuckeye13 remain on top, with totally losing my mime launching themselves up the standings from all the way back in ninth to land in third place. Sixth place was oddly an oasis of calm however, with Leperflesh remaining zen while watching Garappolo and Goff get gruesomely gobbled. We return to our regular ruleset this week, with the next theme week likely being on the week of Thanksgiving. Special rules for this week There are no special rules this week.
