Promotions by MOTYCs 1.New Japan 58 2.All Japan 44 3.Stardom 30 4.NOAH 24 5.Dragongate 20 Wrestlers by MOTYCs 1.Kento Miyahara 24 2.Yuma Aoyagi 23 3.Kenoh 14 4.Kazuchika Okada 12 5.Atsuki Aoyagi 11 Masashi Takeda is the only other one to have gotten into double figures with 10. Wrestler of the Year 1.Kento Miyahara 2.Yuma Aoyagi 3.Kenoh 4.Takuya Nomura 5.Atsuki Aoyagi Based on a totally unscientific score summing up all their matches, with some weighting towards higher rated matches. So Nomura is in there because it's ludicrously consistent where as Okada quite sensibly is OK taking a night off if it's a meaningless tag. Nomura is a psycho who is capable of putting out a **** match in front of 80 people in a park, & the only match under *** I have for him was a battle royal. TJPW City Circuit 03.11.23 MOTYC: Saki Akai & Yuki Kamifuku vs Hyper Misao & Rika Tatsumi Haven't watched TJPW in a little bit and this poo poo hit good. There's something about the promotion's house style that always works for me. Always feels like that extra effort is always put in for fun/creative sequences while still doing enough to make it feel like a struggle between competitors, and just the right balance of slapstick Plus it's Akai's last TJPW match. Real shame to see her go, but she's given us so many great matches over the years I feel she's well within her rights not to hurt her back over and over again for our entertainment anymore

MOTYC: Will Ospreay (C) vs. Shota Umino for the IWGP UK/US Championship - NJPW Power Struggle 11/4 The absolute best character work I have ever seen from Shota Umino, absolutely star-making stuff from a guy who was already in the process of becoming a star but kicked it up another notch tonight in an astonishing way. Plus, you know, Ospreay is absolutely phenomenal in the ring too which doesn't hurt! The 25 minute call absolutely blew my goddamn mind.
