The well-known Israeli journalist in the Arab world, (hes well know as a troll on twitter) Eddie Cohen, criticized the performance of the Israeli army in his statements that showed its weakness in its war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, saying: “You are forbidden from showing our weaknesses when you talk about our losses and our deaths. The entire Arab world gloated over us, and this provides our enemies with energy.”

I get it, you want to look like it’s fun and you’re winning and you want to go viral with your dances, I understand the ironic hook of soldiers doing not-soldier stuff, I understand that you need to get yourself in front of cameras at every opportunity so you can remain relevant and demand more support.

At the same time, gently caress, dude, it just looks awful. Your enemy is people you’re starving, and you’re not only eating, you’re eating from what is presumedly some kind of franchised pizza restaurant. You’re so not in the poo poo that it’s possible to receive delivered restaurant pizza. This is not the ice cream boat showing up to improve morale and also show off that you’re so boated up that you can have dumbass joke boats, this is just some guys doing genocide across the street from a strip mall

Israeli agricultural sector suffers major labour shortages
3m ago (09:05 GMT)

Israel’s agricultural sector is suffering a “significant damage” due to an exodus of thousands of foreign workers since the war started, the Ministry of Labour reported.

More than a quarter of about 30,000 foreign workers who used to work in Israeli fields have left the country, the ministry said, adding that about 20,000 Palestinian agricultural workers have not been allowed to enter Israel since October 7.

The ministry has approved the entry of 5,000 foreign workers for the agricultural sector to tackle the shortage.

Generally in negotiations it’s better to offer something the other party wants in exchange for the thing you want. There’s a reason it’s “your money or your life” and not “hand over your money so I can murder you easier”

So why does no one give a poo poo that Israel has planned from the beginning to deport all of the Gaza boys, and use the US to pressure Canada, Spain and a bunch of other countries to accept them. Isn't this the oldest trick in the book? How do they keep on gettin away with it?

No it was the opposite back then, northern yemen was with Saudi as a semi-monarchy and southern yemen was the soviet block and egypt

one of the big reasons why egypt ate tremendous poo poo in 1967 was because a full third of their armed forces was in Yemen as part of the saudi-egyptian rivalry.

That's interesting. I remember a couple of years ago seeing a Houthi fighter reading Lenin, and then that video focused a lot on Vietnam, Cuba, China and Korea. I guess it's just unrelated then.

This puts them roughly here, which is in line with their slow advance in general, still a ways away from the main city center.

by the way, just to make you guys aware, the scale of military victory isnt if israelis can 'reach' places, it's whether they can 'secure' places, we call know they have the weight of machinery to go in as deep as they like, it's the price they pay and the fact that they're not able to secure anywhere they reach due to hamas resistance and the tunnel network that will make the difference. and if Hezbollah steps in, it's game over for israel.

so dont be depressed if israel can reach places, that is pretty much a given due to the disparity of size of force, it's that the losses they're taking is gonna be the thing that loses them the war.
