I like the old man (coach maybe?) that looks like he’s about to step up to him. Anyway, the Rockets played their most competent game in 3 years last night. It was against the Hornets, I know, but they would’ve lost that game over 50% of the time last year. They actually stayed composed when Charlotte made a run, and answered with one of their own. Jalen Green was taking good shots all game. Dillon Brooks still provides the KPJ experience on offense but he makes a world of difference on defense. FVV was getting hitting his open 3s and getting the ball to Sengun in good spots. Shame about Amen, who looks a lot more NBA ready than advertised. He’s a rookie, but doesn’t seem more out of place than most rookies with a year of D1. High ceiling if he stays healthy. I don’t expect a lot from the Rockets this year, but it was amazingly refreshing to see them look like an NBA team for 48 minutes. They are super loud and super into it. I would put them ahead of like 95% of NBA crowds.
