it's really too bad we threw away a second round pick on a rental while we were still fooling ourselves into thinking the team had a real shot at being a contender.

nfl's strategy of making every game a battle of QBs and announcers willingness to do it is really funny when you have Dobbs v Heineke.

Doesn't matter how many good young QBs enter the league, by Week 9 we will always have an equivalent of a Josh Dobbs/Taylor Heinecke duel.

Heineke looks more confident doing it but I'm not convinced he's any better than Ridder, fumble problems notwithstanding.

In the rookie QB contract era there is no percentage in pay for a middle tier QB. As a consequence you're going to have a bunch of tremendous QBs, a bunch of trash, and not much in-between.

Thats a nice Game 7 you have there. Would be a shame if somebody nailed it down.
The Texans offense (run game specifically) has been very bad. Stroud has made some plays but has also been inaccurate on a few passes as well. Texans defense has been mostly bad and penalized a lot.

There are 2 turnovers for both the Ravens and the Seahawks. Each immediately following the other, basically negating the impact of turnovers in the game.

ridder's strength in his brightest moments is being quick and decisive and that was the driving factor of their win over houston. but the turnovers were just ridiculous

you can't have more fumbles than some qbs had interceptions at the point of his benching

e: also a lot of his decisions were first read decisions and so given enough footage defenses learn it and stop it

Heineke is decisive and strong armed on every throw.

Unfortunately he has no idea how to read a defense or his own playbook.
