found it, here's the Dunk that the referee committed an actual crime by falsely accusing the dunker of a foul.

Alright, I'm now confident that Detroit's just gonna be a lottery team again. All I heard earlier this year was that the 2024 draft was gonna loving blow and that it was full of scrubs. Like, how bad are we talking? No likely stars but good starters? Rotation guys? My esport is dead and the Packers are bad and the Red Wings are inconsistent and the Tigers suck and the Wolverines are gonna get banned from the playoffs and I need somewhere to put my sports hope

No top tier talent is obvious. Basically the best guy so far looks like he could be as good as Nic Claxton.

It looks like your top 5 picks will be like 7-12 type picks in a normal year

The only strength is that maybe your 18th guy might be as good as the 14th guy in a normal draft.

Now in these down drafts we have lucked out and gotten one star guy as a wild card from somewhere in the last few years. No hint of that yet.

Like the athletes cant shoot. The shooters arent athletes. No one is a 5 tool prospect in baseball terms.

This is basically the draft covid wrought in terms of guys in the sweet spot to lose their most important development years to shut downs.

I think you'll see more trades up at the top than normal in this years draft, but I do think there are guys with some real upside, it's just you're probably targeting guys who will be "3rd guy in a big 3" level, not franchise changers. The middle will probably be fine. People underestimate the middle of the draft in down years and over estimate it in good years.

You can't stop what's coming
On the plus side it does seem like this draft is pretty flush with defensive wings in the top 10 which is all Charlotte really needs

As previously observed (and backed by the data from Zogo polls) there are a lot of Wolves fans here and when it was announced several of us immediately agreed that it would be the most Minnesota Thing to go out and win the first one. So I think the momentum off that posting just carried over into everyone.

Ime Udoka while seemingly a nasty dirtbag, is a very very good coach.

Also They finally got some actual adults in the room to put around Sengun and Green, and don't have KPJ jacking poo poo up.

Green has been in the league long enough now where things are slowing down.

Dillon Brooks is shooting something like 56% on threes. Interested to see how they hold up when his hot shooting ends.

Yeah fewer than 10 games played, we don’t know anything yet. Usually by 20 games the playoff picture is more than half set though.

Malik Beasley has always been a terrible defender and no amount of coaching will fix that

edit: he's one of those bench scorers where you look at his per-minute numbers, you watch him a bit on offense and you're like "the coach is crazy for not playing him more" then he's on your team enough to watch him on defense and go "oh. OH"

Dame is bad for your defense but swapping head coaches is probably the bigger impact.
