It reminded me a lot of See How They Run in that it had a really talented cast doing something with all the rhythms and hallmarks of comedy, but no actual jokes or funny parts. If you told me an AI had written it I'd believe you.

I finished the movie. I was going to give it the benefit of the doubt when it was getting panned when it first came out, but it's just so bad. At least when Adam Sandler makes a movie so his friends can get paid, there are some jokes in it. I sort of chuckled when Common threw that can into the street, but that's it. I'll reiterate that it was really great in a visual sense and the direction seemed ok. I just don't understand what the point of the movie was.
