I think it's more amazement at them being lovely people in a way that aligns then with people who very openly wish for their violent deaths. Like, you tell me a trans person committed Bitcoin fraud or murdered someone for a political reasons, sure, nothing surprising there. This is different.

There are always people willing to turn on the groups that support and care for them if it means even a chance of being accepted or approved by the popular in-group. They'll always be next on the chopping block, but that doesn't seem to matter as long as there's someone else between them and being a target again. It's basically just the real world version of what happens in like, high school, when one friend from your loser clique starts acting like an rear end in a top hat after hanging out more with the cooler kids because suddenly it's not cool to be seen playing D&D with the group anymore.

It's because they want to hurt people and see identification with hate groups as a way to gain leverage and power to do that. That matters more than basic common sense survival to them. That said, they are always shocked and disbelieving when the hate groups inevitably turn on them, for any reason including boredom.

I know this is totally American centric of me, and I understand all the advantages of foreign "paper" currency that's actually plastic and has nifty security features and stuff like bumps so visually impaired people can easily tell what denomination of bill they are holding. But it really just looks like play money I would be given as a kid for playing. And American dollars are actually really sturdy, I've never lost money due to wear and tear and there was a decade when I waited tables and nearly every single transaction I had at stores or restaurants was in cash.

I'm trying to think what the straight guy equivalent of having talons on everything except the first two fingers on your hand is and I'm not sure if there is one? Also thinking they should definitely make a baphomet where they're doing the finger gun but with that setup.
