quaranta is dope and the mix is fine. there is one song where they distort the gently caress out of the vocals and its annoying but the only song i didnt like the mix on. shakedown is top notch. it and hanami are probably my favorite on first spin. the whole back half with celibate/shakedown/hanami/bass jam is a vibe and i kept that run on repeat for a good while. chill older danny over lofi styled beats is real good.

Quaranta rules, I liked the mastering and am glad it had more time to cook. This recording of snippets he played on stream has the intro, YBP, Celibate, and two tracks that didn't end up on the final album. You can hear how much extra production went into YBP and Celibate in the release and it's definitely for the better. It's been years since he's 42 now, but I don't remember hearing the later half of the album so was pleasantly surprised. This and Scaring the Hoes is such an impressive year. I've also been loving all the MIKE features lately.
